I do fancy one of these as my first ever loco But it’s not nice when the first is faulty Thanks for sharing

Nicely done, if only one J70 was kept into preservation. Nice model.

Ha I remember you said you'd do one of these! Quite refreshing take. Cheers Gavin!

All reviews should be like this short and sweet, and right to the point

Yup! Was my attempt at exampling what I wanna see more of. This vid was essentially a sequal to my Locomotive Unboxing Rant video.
@northwestern84334 жыл бұрын
@@sparkshot a lot of reviews are redundantly too long, 20 minutes of talking and about 5 minutes of product unboxing it seems...

@@northwestern8433 YUP! Exactly my gripe, and most peoppe copy the format. Ugh.

I didn't know these were out yet! Rapido seem to really nail the niche loco market.

This was entertaining and useful. Goes to show, if you get at dud model it's worth sending back as they might not all be the same.

Rapido is one of the my favorite manufacturers

Yeah they make good RTR for sure. Lots of love abd extras went into this J70.

I think I saw this at the NEC last year. It definitely would be a good Toby model, though that chassis might be a problem as shown before the second model.

Nice. I hope to find a Rapido J70 Tram Engine.

Nice, and I saw some stuff in the background that I can’t wait for😉

Lol, yup! One body is already available, the Green Goblin V1 on Shapeways or from my Photon printer £34.89 plus postage. Will be making 3 different versions, 2nd almost complete. Will make vid/s on it eventually. You knew that though! Worth mentioning for others.

Sparkshot Indeed. Kinda wanted to see how long it would take people to notice it though😉

Finally. A model of a J70 that actually has six wheels unlike the other models that just use a motor bogie
@sparkshot5 жыл бұрын
Yup, although uf I do a P4 chassis for it one day a 4 wheel bogie night be used. Truthfully I'm not bothered about the extra detail under the side skirts as it's hardly visible, but if you nodel it without side skirts that'd be different.

Glad the customer service at Kernow was good enough to get you a more decent model. Still, it’s quite odd. My one travelled all across three oceans and yet it ran like a dream first go!

Just luck of the draw I guess. Buying RTR is always a gamble it seems.

A highly detailed and somewhat cute little model right there. It's a shame these weren't available back in my days of OO model railroading. Still a fantastic model nonetheless.

Sure is impressive, not cheap for its size but a quality item.....when it runs properly!

Class review!!
@MiCAHmp45 жыл бұрын
How not to make reviews: Show the box and talk about the packaging. Slowly take out the packaging. Read us a good ol' bedtime story called the "Instruction Manual". Grab the detail pack and talk about it for a minute or two. Finally!!! Take the locomotive out of the packaging and see how it looks. Give us a history lesson on the class for another minute. See how it runs on slow speed. Give it a test on the turntable. See how it couples up to the carriages/cargo. See how it runs up the hill. And finally ramble about how great the model is.

hey it's it's toby. are you gonna be turning him into toby?
@sparkshot5 жыл бұрын
Yup! Just, I'm in no rush. Haven't made any RWS modelling progress since Percy really. Busy with a lot of the 3D stuff and other stuff and a bit burned out. Is why thought I'd try a stream out tonight for a change, thanks for popping by. Unsure currently if it's what I wanna do plus my volume needs to go up as was too quiet which is why deleted them but we'll see.
