What's the alarm sound like? The older Oregon Scientific clocks had a nice gentle alarm but they don't make them any more.

Hi Mike, it's me, Mike. I got maybe an older one? Oregon mod. No. BAR338PA it focuses, flips 180deg but also has a rotate? You can project and then level the image. And runs LCD black and white display with red projection and uses 4AA batteries. As with most LCD I assume it will run at about 80% shelf life so that's a BIG plus. I would rather see blue, green, yellow or white? Projection. The red is way darker than your blue and I think it's one remote. That's OK with me. Thanks for the informative review. +Jeremy Hay ideally. I have mine placed outside the bedroom window, with the actual unit inside the bedroom. There is a mounting point in the back of the sensor so you can screw it securely to something. Mine has been outside like that since day 1. Through rain, snow. It's fallen. Still going strong lol.

So here's a quick update - the remote sensor on here is extremely durable. So much so that it continues to work flawlessly after falling from the 2nd story onto a brick patio.

my advice is to skip the Oregon Scientific prysma. i just got one and i'm returning it asap. The main problem is that you can only dim the display but NOT the projection. And unlike what many would assume it's not only the numbers that are lid but there is a hue / circle of light around the time and temp that radiate a blue light lighting up the entire bedroom hahaha..i have the blue one so iet's like sleeping in a blue room..i'm going to tryout the braun BNC015-RC because i learned from my mistake and downloaded the manual this time and found out that the braun lets you dimm the projector and even turn off the back light of the display. hopefully this turns the numbers in to a e-book like lighting only lighting the numbers not the whole display ..again imposible to tell without research and or trying out your self..as was proven to me buy buying the Oregon. btw i'm coming from an older oregon model "OS RRA 320P" that one stops working displaying nothing but a blank display i have to remove the power adapter for a few hours reconnect it and then it works fine .. bit strange. but that's after years of usage ,,,and we do live in a word where planned obsolescence is a thing..

Good review, but it is a total rippoff. Your review falls only in that it does not factor in price. You can get equal or better for far less cash.
