I didn't first know that this 'Knocking on Hevens Door' was an old song by Bob Dylan as I am that much younger anyway, but as I ahve heard now during years both of them, I had to say that this version is, unfortunately, thousand times better and more passined that the original. I know all Dylan's fans will hate me for this but this is how I feel it.

You do realize Wiki is written by regular people, right? If you don't think it's cheesy, go and fix it to your liking. That's why professors don't accept any Wiki as a source. Chase the citations, you won't go wrong. If, as in this case, it smells strongly as an opinion and has no citation, it is probably false. Make sure if there is a citation that it says what the topic says it says. Before The Incident, I spent 35 of my 42 working, toiling, I deserve a metal for getting up in the morning years, chasing citations for lawyers. I could guarantee that most citations attached to some wild claims would say the exact opposite. (It's called "reading the headnotes" and not the case itself. Go change cheesy.

After the massive success of their 1987 debut album 'Appetite for destruction'... Guns N' Roses were approached by their label Geffen Records about putting out their EP 'Live like a s++cide'... (originally out in 1986), so the band decided to add some bonus songs that they recorded acoustically in 1 day in 1988 (They wanted to showcase the mellow side of Guns N' Roses) However, there was controversy - one song 'Used to love her'... was like a demented country song about killing a girlfriend and putting her to rest in the backyard... Another was 'One in a million'... where Axl Rose used the 'n' word (Slash was NOT happy w/ Axl's choice of words, being half-black) as well as disparaging 'immigrants and f+++_ts'...

I never thought about it but folk would not because stretch at all for that song. Me and my friends hated that song and used to mock the hell out of it the year it was out but it was one of their hits. At the time it came out they were rapidly becoming the biggest rock band in the world. It was only for a minute in the grand scheme of things but looking back it was undisputable for a good three years. I didn't know a single guy who was down with this song at all but it was a major hit with chicks. If Guns were about to become the biggest rock band at that time, Axl Rose had already been the number one rocker every chick wanted to get a piece of for many years. I wasn't a fan of their music when they first came out but I sure appreciated Axl cuz I already wore bandana s on my head already and I can't say they had chicks pounding on my door. Then Axl became the biggest thing and I got so much action just from the similar look. Basically his look in this video, throw a black leather jacket on, that was already me and it was t a hit for me in high school. Axl cane out the year I graduated from high school and if you could even remind the rocker chicks in your city of him at all you could get action. I became a fan of their music a couple years later but I wasn't hating on anything Axl Rose was doing for me at this point in time that's for sure. Now as an adult and a fan of the band, it's still their weakest offering but it's an impressive little song. The whistling is s cool, the end is Axls voice at it's best and the montage with the different chicks getting in a d out of bed with Slash and his snake is just enough to keep the video from being unwatchable. I've never heard a solo from Slash in any style that wAnt awesome. He's gotta be top 5 best guitarists of all time. I ha e him in my top 3.

It was a big song, for sure. The album Lies,Lies,Lies was half old school GnR from before Appetite & half acoustic , like this. However the rest of the acoustic songs are far "heavier" I guess, with the controversial One in a Million finishing it off. Patience is a grower, you'll be whistling in your head the rest of the day.....

There's a lot of great live performances of Welcome to the Jungle, most notably one from The Ritz in New York. You Could Be .Mine and Don't Cry are two big hits definitely worth doing. They have several songs that were not chart topping releases that are total sleepers worth checking out. For me the best Gubs song is Civil War. The problem is there is no official video for it. There are some coolive performances on KZbin but I think what they put together on the studio for Civil War is an absolute masterpiece. There are some lyric videos of the studio original on KZbin and for my tastes Civil War was the greatest thing that Guns ever put out. Dead Horse and Coma are two sleepers that don't get much attention. Going all the way back to their first album it's so easy and Mr brownstone are great songs (it's so easy video is fun). They have a song I consider pure comedy called I Used To Love Her that's a real winner. They were great live and has a rub of stellar live performances on the ntv music Awards. Welcome To The Jungle at mtv awards was when they really got on a lot of people's radar. Axl Rose and Elton John did November Rain side by side on dueling pianos on the mtv awards. That's either the "we fucken made it big time" moment or the YOU SOLD OUT moment but it's an impressive performance. I loved the most random performance of all time at I think the 1991 mtv awards but I might be off on the year, Tom Petty is ending the show with his happy go lucky song Free Fallin that was topping the charts. Good song and Tom Petty was a fine singer but it's not racism electric show closer. Under the best of circumstances in not sure that Tom Petty had any charisma running through him. But they randomly had Axl Rose do his slithering dance on to the stage to sing Free Falling with Tom Petty. I still don't see where they were going with it on paper but the chicks lost their minds and Axl was on fire. The guy overflowing with charisma next to the guy devoid of any charisma was amusing. Axl totally over dang it and over shadowed Tom Petty who couldn't have been a better sport about it. At one point Tom Petty is just stating at axl and giggling because Axl was more than taking up every bit of space that song had. Same with the stage. It was tom pertys song but he really could have just left by that point. Axl sounded great and was effortkrsdky putting on a master class of how to have an audience in the palm of your hand for every sound and movement he did. Axl also has some out of this world live moments at the Freddie Mercury memorial show in front of a giant crowd. He was a huge Freddie Mercury fan and really put on a show there to.

By the way you Pegasus: I haven ever haTED SNAKES BUT FOUND THEM MOSTLY INTRESTING CREATURES, ALLTHOUGH HERE IN Finland the most common snake is poisonous, a viper but it is so shy that you don't see them oteher by just accident as they flee from humans as by the way almost all animals do by their reflexes. My friend was some years ago on a holiday in India and he wanted to see also some wild life and animals, elephants and so on and when the state's guide asked if these Finnish men had served in the army and how to use an assault rifle, they were a bit puzzeled and my friend asked if those animals really were that dangerous and their guide said to them tahat: No not the animals but the robbers who preyd on turists... a bit deppressing news I would say...
