Their 1974 album "Crime of the Century" is my favorite album of all time. It's much more 'art rock' or prog than 'Breakfast in America'.

Best band I know of, I grew up with Supertramp I was 15 in 1979, I'm AUssie and grew up in the best times, with the best of the 70's and all of the 80's forward. This band are true stars in my opinion, especially their song, Hide In your Shell. The Logical Song. School and Dreamer are the ones most know, but if you dig a little deeper you will find, Take the long way home, which is a sad story, and Hide In Your Shell, Hide is your Shell is still one of my favourite all time songs, it says a lot and I hate to admit it, but it's good advice.

when they surfaced, they were in between PUNK and NEW WAVE ...theory; that's the reason why they were under-rated...just saying:)

They were really big back then, as I remember their songs on the radio quite a lot. Especially this one and a few others. They had a lot of hits. Try 'Even in the quietest Moments'. Very soulful song. They were one of the biggest progressive bands.

You should check out Roger Hodgson's KZbin page. He's been playing and touring with a new band of Musicians (He left Supertramp in 1983) and since he wrote a lot of the Supertramp songs, including this one, he still performs them live. Check it out. (Same sax and piano solos on the old songs, but I think they sound even better than the originals.
