You should react to live version of Sultans of Swing performed by Dire Straits (they wrote it) from the Alchemy tour. It is brilliant. Dire Straits was a band that you didn’t go to see, but rather, you went to experience. The guitar solo is unbelievable and the guitarist is Mark Knopfler.

I like the “calmer” vibe of the whole Budapest gig… You can tell through the whole show that Fred is “holding back” so-to-speak, in deference to the fact that this audience wasn’t used to wild crazy rock music. Freddie had even joked that the Eastern Government was worried Queen would “corrupt” everyone!😳😆 …I have read so many heartwarming comments over time, from folks who were actually at this show. A lot of people actually hitchhiked for days just to get to the venue and attend the concert… Apparently, the date when this Queen concert took place in Budapest is still commemorated! This was the FIRST time that a Western music group had been allowed to come perform behind the Iron Curtain… It took Queen four years of battling red tape to finally get permission and work out logistics to go to Budapest to do it. Roger joked that they’d be lucky if they broke even financially on the venture. (This is why the band was allowed to film it, though, to recoup money with the video sales.)

Saying you've never heard Bohemian Rhapsody is about as credible as saying you've never heard Beethoven's Fifth.

I’m a 47 year old woman and music is my soul. I was a DJ forever. I’ve never heard of Ren until I came across your video. His voice, his words, his flow…perfection. I had goosebumps. When the song ended my husband and I both applauded. Big thank you to whoever suggested him. If you haven’t encountered the video for Smack my Bish Up by Prodigy, I highly recommend you go on that journey. It’s absolutely bananas! And I’ve had those nights myself so…..😅

The greatest Anthem from the 70's of party, getting loaded...Cocaine, Quaalude, LSD fueled music of the day...Well, it's true...I was there. Fully. Reference to "woke up with a 'Sherman' in my hand." "Sherman" or "Sherm" was a reference to a "Sherman Cigarette" dipped in Angel Dust Winner: "Best Cocaine Face Guitar Lead" of all time. Historical note: The "Talk Box" was his invention. Cheers! 🍄🌲🍄✨💥🌈

I love Freddie ❤❤ ❤ and Queen, but I always feel Freddie sounds a little sick here. He huts the notes, everyone loves it, the rest of the band rocks, but Freddie was very hoarse in his louder ranges. I’d heard after this world tour, Roger mentioned much later that he thought Freddie knew something wasn’t quite right with his health. Brian mentioned after the tour, Brian said “that was fun, wasn’t it?” and Freddie said it was a hell of a lot if hard work. When in tour, he didn’t party like the rest of them, he had to rest his voice and body for the next show and next show and on and on. RIP Freddie, I miss you and your wonderful, magnificent talent and being. There will never be another.
