@@The1Mommalau I saw CSN a few years ago in Los Angeles. Glad I got to see them, they are among my favorites. At the encore, they played a song or two, then they said they were going to bring out a special guest. I and everyone around thought it was going to be Neil Young, but it was Tom Petty. For me, it was even better because I had seen Neil twice but never Petty. RIP Crosby, Petty.

This song was written in part by Albert Hammond and on his album "It Never Rains in Southern California" in 1972. Phil Everly did the song in '73 I believe. One of the hollies heard Phil's version and put it on the album they were making at that time. They pretty much made it theirs! This song brings me back to the year I graduated. The rest of their early music brings me back to the mid 60's. Bus Stop is one of my favorite songs of all time. The Hollies did that song in the summer of 1966. Worth a listen.

As noted in the comments, this song was written by Albert Hammond, who turned 80 yrs old back on May 18th. The song apears on his debut solo album, "It Never Rains in Southern California" from 1972. The title track to this album was a massive hit back in the day. Another great song of his is "The Free Electric Band." This guy is an incredibly prolific, gifted songwriter. His co-writing credits alone incude, "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship (remember that one 😊), "One Moment In Time" by Whitney Houston, "To All The Girl's I've Loved Before" a duet by Julio Iglesias & Willie Nelson, and "When I Need You" by Leo Sayer. Btw, his son, Albert Hammond Jr, is the guitarist for American garage rock band, the Strokes! Totally different sound from dad, but also great! Check out their debut album "Is This It" from 2001. Awesome music if you need to release any pent up frustrations! 😬
