You can also tell this in the 6th opening where soldiers, airships, warships, and other modern military equipment is depicted as well as war often being mentioned in the lyrics

A significant portion of the openings especially in season 1 are sung in German, I’m not sure exactly why this is. For example the first line of the first opening, and like half of the second opening, in fact it’s name “flugel der freiheit” is German for “wings of freedom, and much of the song is sung in German rather than Japanese which I find really interesting
