I still have the bullet that misfired while holding my dads 40 to my head… it’s a reminder to me that there’s a higher power that blatantly told me I have a purpose and that wasn’t my time. Now I have 3 beautiful children that never want or hunger like I did and a great job I love. I should get rid of it because it’s a reminder of the loudest click I’ve ever heard in my life. But I like to have it as a trophy for myself to smile now knowing I clawed my way out of rock bottom and am providing a better life to myself and my children that want for nothing.
