It seemed like a great rap battle and I would have loved to have been able to hear it all. Obviously, you're not in agreement. You missed the bar about hitting the buzzer because it's time to change lines. A line in NHL is essentially half of a team's players that sit on the side until the buzzer is called to switch, since only 5 are allowed on the ice at once. So changing lines is actually the other players switching out on the ice when the buzzer goes off.

You are partially right on the Gretzky rule before it was in effect when the opposing team is on the power play, (i.e. 5 on 4) and they score the person that was in the penalty box stayed in the box for the entire duration of their penalty. This made it so the team on the power play could score multiple goals before the player was let out of the box. Now if the team on the power play scores the player in the box is let out of the box and the team goes back to full strength. The reason the rule was made is because Gretzky's Oilers would score 2 to 4 times on almost every power play.
