The date (Dec ‘20) you looked at is the date this lyric video was uploaded (by someone). It’s not when EZ dropped “Omoshiroi!” For perspective, he dropped his 16-track album Act 1, of which “Omoshiroi!” is part, on 27 July 2020. He performed “Panalo” on the Wish USA Bus six months later on 29 Jan ‘21. Thanks for reacting to EZ again, Knox.

But before that, his "24 bullets" (entry to Mark Beats 24 Bars Challenge 2020) has gone viral in the underground scene in his home country. And Anji (Angelo) is his step brother. He's black, btw. The Sakura or cherry blossoms bloom for only two weeks in a year. The petals burst on the trees like white delicate fireworks and then die two weeks later to be replaced with leaves. (Die within every autumn is creative license 😬) The Japanese would usually go out in the parks during these two weeks to appreciate them (custom is called Hanami) because they’re so fleeting and temporary. So Anji (ez’s stepbrother who’s black, btw hence the black Panther reference) is describing this pain. He got into some bad stuff (drugs and gangs) when he was younger. (He’s only 18 here, so he’s had a tough life.) These only gave momentary happiness, fleeting but then the flowers would die and he’d go right back to feeling his pain. Anji is very poetic, I can’t say this enough. If you listen to Ez’s song Avreeayl Womack O’Neill, you can have a glimpse of where the pain came from. Anyway, that’s my take on this song, best guess.
