Glad you liked it. Ronnie Radke (the singer) names Queen and Eminem as his biggest influences. He once recorded a rap mix tape to give to his fans for free, he worded with Bizarre (D12) on a track, etc. He's being incorporating rap in his songs for decades, but until now it has always been metal/rock songs with some rap. Please check out Popular Monster by Falling in Reverse. Subbed. Greetings from Germany

The more you learn about Ronnie you will discover how much attention he gives every little detail. This means that with every listen/view of a song/video you will discover something new you hadn't noticed before. This genius keeps folks coming back for more. My take on the end of the video is that I don't think Ronnie is intentionally portraying himself as Antichrist. I could be wrong of course but there's just so much symbolism here that I think it's more likely metaphorical. The whole track is a response to his haters. The cancel culture wants to exorcise Ronnie out of the way, to shut him up bcuz he won't just take it. He always responds. I think he's getting the last word in this round.
@Ericsaidful
@Ericsaidful 8 ай бұрын
And that sir, was Ronnie’s point. He’s uncomfortable having to conform to everyone else’s belief system publicly to satisfy people. All of his words are twisted and cherry picked to use against him by people close to him and people distant, likely from industry workers and sponsors and he’s tired of the battle between who he is and who people want him to portray. So in a way, I think the rap is an omen to the bullshit people like to listen to now. The pop sounding, over simplified bullshit about drugs, money, murder, and sex which is supported by some people who claim to be against all of those things politically, meanwhile he says one thing and it’s blown out of proportion and used to try to cancel him. So he went Eminem and said “I am, whatever you say I am, if I wasn’t, then why would I say I am” and made something to parody what people are nowadays. The church symbolizes the chains of society that are binding people and keeping them from living. He says the fear keeps them from living, the pain, etc. so his act is an act of liberation, not death. Anyway, that’s my take.

He made a trilogy with songs Losing My Mind, Losing My Life, and Drugs which have a rap rock style to them. Losing my Life is my all time favorite Falling in Reverse song. After the trilogy he dropped a song called Popular Monster which same thing, rap rock. The song he released before this is called Voices in my Head which also have a rap rock element to it.

This song is composed so good, and the band as whole deserves a lot of credit. Even though FIR aren't really considered "real heavy" that break down is sooo heavy. From the drum runs, and the note bends, and Ronnie's metal screams at the end, to me this song is flawless.

@thelittleheathenfromSweden

@@JustinT41701 If one shit their pants as a kid, does that mean that's indicative of the persons personality when they've grown up?😂 I knew this guy that had some shit happen to him after which he told himself he was NEVER gonna be a victim again, he was partially right as he ended up as the aggressor in several trials because he became to prideful and stopped self reflecting over his actions. And my landlords son seemed like a great guy until he stared doing copious amounts of speed and ketamine after his mother passed to deal with the grief and ended up losing track of himself, he did everything from beating ex girlfriends to forcing himself on two other girls, he got no legal ramifications because his dad swept it under a rug but he lost all his friends. People are unstable and selfish at the best of times and all we need is the wrong thing to push, for us to not just throw ourselves over the edge but also drag others down with us. To paraphrase Dostoevsky: even if man had every need meet and only needed to think about eating, sleeping and fucking he would still crave more out of sheer spite. www.goodreads.com/quotes/8251510-and-indeed-this-is-the-odd-thing-that-is-continually I can't really comment on the first two cases, partially because I'm unfamiliar with those and the others and partially because I frankly don't really care enough to be bothered to look it up. But I don't know if you just didn't want to write the whole third case you mentioned or if you regurgitated information you've read in a comment. His actions wasn't good and I'm not disputing that, but saying that he was "hitting a girl with a mic stand" sounds a bit inflammatory if not borderline slanderous don't you think? With risk of sounding like a scummy lawyer, technically he did most likely "accidentally hit" her, although I get the view point from the fact that you need to be an absolute fucking idiot to throw something into a crowd and get surprised when it end up hitting someone..😅 But he threw 3 diffrent microphone stands into a crowd and one of them accidentally hit a 16 year old girl who was taken to hospital and a 25 year old man who was treated in the spot, the girl later got almost a million dollars for the incident if I'm not mistaken and her injuries wasn't that bad so I think she's doing fine, I mean atleast better than Travis Snot's fans who got injured at a show, but it was definitely deuchy to not apologise publicly. But personally I do think he seems somewhat wholesome today. Although I can definitely agree that the dude was far from a 100% stable in his younger years.

@@JustinT41701 you clearly know nothing about the “killing” as you call it. Ronnie showed up somewhere to defend someone that was disrespecting his best friend/brother and one of the guys on the other side was waving a gun around at everyone and in self defense one of Ronnie’s friends shot him. They in fact turned themselves into the police and reported everything that happened. The “domestic abuse” has already been proven wrong and was dropped. The mic stand was an incident that happened awhile back that he has owned up to and admitted his mistakes for. Y’all are always so caught up in the past and 9 times out of 10 don’t even know the facts so you’re just talking out your ass😂 dude has worked his ass off to turn his life around and get to where he’s at today

Been a fan of Ronnie since he led Escape the Fate. In my opinion, the best part of his vocal talent is the incredible expanse of sound he can expertly create and make it look easy. He can change his entire sound in the blink of an eye. He is a vocal master. Listening to the volume and power dynamics he can achieve in one line just by employing masterful breathing technique keeps me in constant awe. Truly remarkable talent. worth nothing that his lyrics about his history not being a mystery.. he had a rough go of things and a lot people paint him as a villain. learning about his history and him as a person will give you so much more context for the lyrics and music videos from Falling In Reverse.

Ronnie’s music/ videos is not about religion. He’s using visuals everyone is familiar with for the purpose of telling HIS story. How media and society talk about him and try to cancel, destroy him. He’s taken on the persona that people have given him- he’s a (popular) monster- he’s the anti Christ. He’s just throwing back in their faces, like fine I’ll be your monster. This album he put out is so poetic from the title- his mug shot- imagery- lyrics. Literally everything, he’s masterful. So many people think it’s hate on religion. I’m a Christian and I admit the first time i watched his stuff I thought it was sacrilegious, until I realized he used very literal symbolism to get his point across.

It's always interesting when I find more people into both hip hop and hard rock/metal, even though they collaborated since the '80s with Anthrax + Public Enemy and Aerosmith + Run DMC. I have a playlist meant for collabs between rock/metal and hip hop. I do tend to be very strict with how I feature them though, maybe considering 3 songs per artist for diverse collabs. Tech N9ne has some I hate fighting between.

I love the reaction! But what really got me is the end part wherein Crypt is all shocked from the breakdown and all that screamo.. and how the MV just ended. Then the ad pops in: "Wanna know about the best place to shop for your health and wellness products..." Damn! That is one hell of a comedic timing. hahahah! But man... I love the way you disect the bars. Really impressive! More power to you!

I read a comment online that basically said that this song was Ronnie going from a Hero to a Villain because the media and industry/fans went from loving him to hating him and he is embracing what they're calling him, "a villain". This song was bascially his "i don't care anymore" attitude.

The meaning behind the video is wild. Long story short hero saves the world but people label him a villain and he breaks and decides to destroy the world hence “ I’m turning dark, I need positive energy”.

this song is about how people label him a villain.. and his response to it is this. "if u want to make me the villain. I'll accept the role."

I see that final scene as "if you want a villain I'll show you a villain", because Ronnie is easily one of the most vilified artists in the rock/metal scene.

So to really understand the genius that is Ronnie you need to do “I’m not a vampire” and then “I’m not a vampire revamped” and there is no copyrights with falling in reverse. Ronnie has made sure of that. He loves reactors.
