Did you pick its one take? Because a lot of his stuff is and can be live too. I love how he and his crew make incredible music videos on very low budget, simple themes but still very complex and difficult to do. Its very inspirational. Even his Blind Eyed with Sam Tompkins (car park attendant version) is really compelling and its just them playing around in a car park. He even breaks guitar strings and just keeps on.

I'm glad somebody finally heard the safari drum/ jungle beat instead of the Oompa Loompa beat. I was beginning to think I was the only one that made the connection which I thought was obvious and which makes more sense considering the theme. that's exactly the sound you hear in any old movie set in the 'jungle' whether it happens in South or Central America, Africa, Pacific Islands or somewhere in Asia. which is, well, not great in many ways, but here we are.

I am so with you that ad-libs can increase the value of every bar. But adlibs done badly are horrific. I had this argument with an old roommate of mine years ago, who wasn't huge into rap but liked some rap. He said he doesn't understand adlibs, why do they gotta go yeah or grunt in the mic. All this rant to leave a comment to say Ren does adlibs perfectly, just like you said
