@sarahrean7174 That might be someone else's truth, but it's not mine. When I was in first grade, I was raped by a light skinned cousin. I was not conscious of my fear of light skinned men until I was much older. I felt safe with my dark skinned boyfriend (now husband) and did not trust light skinned men. It was a long time before I realized my trauma had influenced my choices. My then boyfriend asked me what I liked most about him. That was easy, I knew I was safe with him.

I sure hope they continued in a positive way. It’s easy to slip back to the familiar. And Cori I just wanted to tell her she’s beautiful and to take care of her health. Folks yapping and negativity only brings stress. I’m a big believer in juicing. I don’t believe it’s a cure all but I swear that’s what made me feel better and able to get off medication because of MS. I know it’s a different disease I still think it would help. I also know those green veggies don’t taste great juiced but throw a green apple (or red) and some celery and pineapple on there… Personally kale and I don’t get along (gives me kidney stones) but other greens and veggies work. I know she won’t see this but someone on here could benefit from juicing. I’m pretty sure.

The second guest and the guest from yesterday with the mother and daughter who was in a shelter. I have been right there with both of their situations. I have a 19 yr old daughter (who is actually my niece and I adopted her). We have bumped heads so many times. I was sick of the disrespect. Feeling unappreciated. Kept doing and doing and doing and nothing. I have put her in activities to keep her busy. She has mental health issues. So we have had hospital stays, meds, counseling. You name it we have been through it. One day I reached out to her older sister (my niece) and ask what is it I'm doing wrong. She told me. I'm not doing anything wrong. I wsnt her mom. And at that moment I understood what she meant. You see, my daughter has been yearning for a relationship with her mom and dad. It's not she ddnt appreciate what all I was doing. She was missing that void in her heart. I made the biggest mistake in my life and that was when I said "YOU ACT JUST LIKE YOUR MOTHER"...
@LENE1217 Жыл бұрын
Those words cut her so deep, she sliced up both of her arms. And said "I DNT WANT TO BE LIKE MY MOM" 🥺🥺🥺. She was 12 when this happened. I promised to never say anything like that ever again. Sometimes we as parents have to take a step back and assess the whole situation. Our babies go through heartache just like everyone. My daughter has been battling her inner trauma on top of abandonment issue from her mom and dad. Both her parents passed away. She has issues with opening up to ppl in fear they will walk out of her life. Her dad passed in 2018. In Oct of 2020. I finally got my sister (her biological mom) to come to Georgia with me. At that time. It was 10 years I have been tryn to get her to come here. Long story short. We had a power outage. So we were in the kitchen with our candles and flashlights. My sister looked at her daughter and said "I want to thank you for allowing me a second chance for us to get to know one another and building together". Lexi looked at her and said "mom, that's all I have ever wanted". They hugged, said I love you. And a few hours later. My sister passed away in her sleep next to her daughter. It's a struggle dealing with your children when they are acting out and it can be stressful to where you just want to give up. But don't. I have said to myself so many times. There is nothing else I can do for her. I cannot see myself walking away from my child. I tell my kids (I have 3) you think you need me. But I need you more than you think. This wsnt supposed to be this long. I couldn't fight my tears seen these 2 families. Cuz I saw myself and my daughter... Everyone stay blessed❤

@@YourfavoritePisces229 thank you so much for your kind words. She knows I'm not going anywhere. And she's not either. 🤣🤣. Our relationship is not a traditional one. But, it works for us. I already wrote a long post and I ddnt want to make it longer. But, to understand how my sister passed away, you need to have a relationship with God. She is a true definition of here today, gone tomorrow. I literally had her on fb live hrs before she passed away. My sister made amends with all of her children. For the very 1st time. She stood in the same room with her 5 kids and her 8 grands. My sister was preparing her exit and she needed to right her wrongs before she closed her eyes. She got forgiveness and a new start with her kids and that's what she wanted. My sister wsnt sick. Her soul was just tired. She was 48 when she passed away.

No lie, she’s so freaking beautiful. I cried hearing this interview, because it resonated with how I felt so many times. I always felt I had to go over and beyond to be liked by anyone friends and guys. I use to ask what is loving yourself I never felt that 😢I almost gave up on life so many times. Not loving yourself will allow so many people to treat u any kind of way

What is wrong with people? She's Beautiful! What nonsense!! When are we going to realize how blessed we are having dark skin and the Melanin that enriches it? As a dark skinned Woman myself, I was talked about so badly, but I wouldn't change it, if I could. People need to grow up and stop shaming people for their skin color. Girl, forget these miserable haters and live a blessed life!

I love the way he listens and allows the guest to finish their points. I watch people like Tamron Hall that always cuts people off and that’s so annoying. He’s awesome

She is absolutely stunning…. Seriously she is. I feel the hate comes from the fact that they can’t have her dad !!! 😭 that woman is gorgeous. ❤️

I always thought Cori was beautiful even as a little girl and Snoop introduced her on his reality show! He nicknamed her Choc because she was so chocolate as a kid! I truly wish the best for her and Wayne. ❤😊

My granddaughter is very chocolate and she wishes she was lighter. She said nana I wish I was your color. It broke my heart She is only 5. She shouldn't be aware of this. Kid's are so cruel at school. I always tell her her skin is beautiful.
