The rev was in another band called Pinkly Smooth.... I've been a deathbat from the beginning (born and raised in northern California), but the rev and synister gates in Pinkly Smooth is definitely worth a listen.

The Rev is hands down one of the greatest drummers over the last couple decades. The small amount of work that he left behind before he passed should not go unnoticed. He brought such great latin influence and so much groove to his drumming. He was also an insanely good songwriter ie. Afterlife, A Little Piece of Heaven, Almost Easy, Brompton Cocktail, Fiction.

He was a better songwriter than drummer, he was a very good drummer but there are a bunch of better drummers out there, there aren’t a bunch of songwriters better than he was tho, just really great overall musician.

@@puppetmaster8551 I dunno. He was a composer first and a drummer second so I feel like most of the time he held back because he thought his most insane drumming didn't fit the song. That drum solo here puts most drummers to shame imho.

The Rev was incredible, I was lucky enough to be at this show, and it was the only time I saw Avenged Sevenfold with Jimmy on drums. You guys should react to UNHOLY CONFESSIONS from this concert, it’s a banger of a song #RIPJIMMY #GONE2SOON

You can most definitely see A7X live with A Little Piece Of Heaven! They did that at the “Live In The LBC” concert same as this one right here. And if youd like to hear his masterful drumming, my personal fave for him is “Almost Easy”, one of many he wrote on his own, but my personal fave based on his drum skills

Jimmy is my favorite drummer of all time! When he died the band had a slump of trying to find a good drummer like they were used to. Notice Hail to The King. Now they have a good drummer again. Brooks goes in. You guys should check out The Stage by A7X it shows Brooks' talent as well as the rest of the band it's a great song

Solid forsure, I think Brann Dailor is the best drummer/singer in metal/hard rock right now currently, Aaron Gillespie is a good musician tho forsure.

I didn't like this album at first, as the singer had to switch up his vocal technique to save his vocal chords, but after a few listens to the album, I really started to dig how his new voice made the band sound like a metal as fuck Guns N' Roses.

I've seen the Rev live multiple times and have jammed A7X on drums for years. Second Heartbeat in the LBC and Critical Acclaim are amazing live performances. He sings and solos the chorus of Critical Acclaim live, he was a pianist on the drums.
