Great reaction. 'Karate' is about fighting on when everything seems too hard, getting up when you've been knocked down and helping each other through any difficulties. In the video the 3 ghost figures were the 3 girls conjuring up their own inner demons that they were having to fight. When the masks shattered at the end you saw their faces - look into their eyes and you will see their own reflections. You already have recommendations for 'PA PA YA' and 'BxMxC' for Babymetal songs that include or are rap. I didn't see anybody recommend 'Iine' (that is iine pronounced ee-neh, not Line) yet - that was the earliest song they did with any rap in it. Normally I would always say do live Babymetal, in this case watch the official video kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4fHc3WFpbiihJY

Babymetal gets you in many ways. The Kami band is amazing. Their vocals are amazing. Their dancing is epic. Just look at yourself when watching them. You can't help but smile. Babymetal makes you just happy and get amped up at the same time. Unfortunately they lost one of their original members (Yui-Metal). She injured herself and can't dance up to her standards anymore. That is one reason I heard anyway. So they rotate a 3rd girl now. They also lost one of the Kami band members. He passed away from a freak accident. They are still going strong despite this and I bet you will enjoy many more of their songs.
@steffenjachnow81764 жыл бұрын
"This girl is amazing" You can bet your ass! Her name is Suzuka Nakamoto (stage name SU-METAL). She was born on December 20th, 1997 in Hiroshima. And she's the reason BABYMETAL exists at all because their producer (Key Kobayashi) saw her back then when she was at Actors School of Hiroshima (I believe) and recognized, that this girl would be absolutely wasted on mere pop-music. Later on, when he was in charge of producing an idol group called "Sakura Gakuin" (Cherry Blossom Academy), he met her again (because she was one of the founding members of SG) and started to implement his idea. The rest is history... P.S.: "Karate" was used in the first season of the sci-fi show "Altered Carbon" (third episode). P.P.S.: Regarding Tool: You should give their recent album "Fear Inoculum" a listen (after listening to all the BABYMETAL albums of course).

"Even if tears spill from our eyes, we will face it! Single mindedly, seiya soiya, we will fight on. With our fists more, with our hearts more, while keening all our skills. Still more, seiya soiya, we will fight on, even if our spirits are broken and we can no longer stand." Hi Guys! Good reaction! Thanks for checking out my favorite band BABYMETAL! This is actually the song that got me into the band. I had known about them for about a year prior but dismissed them as a gimmick until I saw this music video for KARATE, and when Su-Metal (lead singer) sang her first lines I was hooked, instant fan. To answer your question about the musicians they are backed by the metal masters of the Kami Band, of which there are actually a small pool of musicians who rotate in and out depending on availability as they all have their own bands and projects. There aren't many of them, and we fans can pick them out just by their instruments alone! Also as for "kitsune" it is pronounced like kih-tsoo-nay, you pronounce all syllables in Japanese, there are rarely any silent letters, except U can get dropped sometimes. Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox, legend has it when the girls were first being taught about metal they were shown the metal horns hand sign but they thought it looked like a fox, so their producer ran with it, created this elaborate lore on how the gods were fighting but the Fox God summoned BABYMETAL to earth to lead the Metal Resistance by uniting the world as The One through the power of metal music. It's kinda cheezy but it's fun. So you'd like some recommendations?! Here's my top picks: "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" - Live Sonisphere UK 2014 - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKCQkJaYm8mlj6c - Title translates to "Bullying, No good, Absolutely". This was their first big show in the west. They originally booked a small side stage however the organizers bumped them up to the main stage due to the buzz they were generating. The girls were scared that the UK metal heads would throw bottles at them. "Rondo of Nightmare" with Mischiefs of the Metal Gods Intro live Budokan Black Night - kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6m8cpZ_rtBledE - This is a Su-Metal (lead singer) solo, but really shows off the Kami Band. "Road of Resistance" - Live Saitama Super Arena Japan - kzbin.info/www/bejne/sIWoioh8nLGpm7s - This is how BABYMETAL ends an arena show.

You are now proceeding down the Foxhole. They have many songs that cross all genres. The album players are studio pros while their live act band is the Kami band (about 6 of the best touring musicians in the world who rotate due to schedule conflicts) Last year they started a Kami band West for the US and European tour and they did not disappoint. The girls themselves have had the best training possible and tour hard like bands used to back in the day. (They have become consummate professionals.)

Unfortunately, Amuse (agency) rarely credits the studio musicians on albums and singles. The only known overlap between the studio musicians and the Kamiband is Leda Cygnus. He plays mostly guitar but is also more than capable on bass having played many years with Galneryus. Leda also does arranging work for them. Hopefully you will eventually get to hear the "Mischiefs Of the Metal Gods" intro that he created the framework for.

I am also so happy that our community has been so kind to you. We just want to spread the joy that is BABYMETAL! I think you should react to Road Of Resistance or Headbanger from the Legend 1997 concert. BTW, kitsune is pronounced "ki-tsu-nay" though to make it easier "kit-su-nay" suffices as well. Su-metal (the lead singer) refers to them as Fox Horns (she says "Get your Fox Horns up!" as the sign off at concerts) if you just want to us that term instead.

⚡ 💀 💕 / 👻 👻 👻 Gotta agree, 'Karate' is a banger. There's a good reason it was the featured single off of the second album, 'Metal Resistance'. Kitsune = "kit-tsu-neh". The "ts" sound is like the end of the word "hats". That's the Fox Sign, since BABYMETAL receive divine guidance from the Fox God. : ) There's no credible evidence that the Illuminati are, or ever were a thing in Japan. 'PA PA YA!!' is a BABYMETAL song you have to hear, if you're ready for a rapper from Thailand to join in on the fun. Also 'BxMxC', although there's no official video of this one yet, just fancams.

@rickwagner-4 жыл бұрын
@Aegon The Dragon If you're going to conflate occultism in general, and the Illuminati, then you're making the definitions of both pretty meaningless. Even in the Western world, the long defunct Illuminati were revived in the '60s as a hoax for the gullible.
@aegonthedragon63414 жыл бұрын
@@rickwagner- Well interestingly enough, the word"Illuminati" is pretty meaningless nowadays, since is mainly used as propaganda. That's why I included occultism, is general, which is a broader term. But if you wanna proceed this conversation, there's plenty of this symbology directly from amuse company productions. Some as simple as the over used 1 eye thing and some a bit more complex.
@Wombatmetal4 жыл бұрын
@@aegonthedragon6341 Babymetal has nothing to do with the Occult. The young ladies practice Shinto, and do so openly. When they leave on tour the girls write prayers for good fortune at shrines. Kitsune are the messengers of Inari Okami The symbology has different meanings over there. The cross symbol has nothing to do with religion for example. It is a symbol that goes back to the Edo period, and a young woman named Okuni who was a dancer and invented Kabuki Theater, which in the day was only with female performers. She wore a cross while performing in the streets. You're projecting your thoughts, they interpret things very very differently.
@aegonthedragon63414 жыл бұрын
@@Wombatmetal The production Babymetal has a lot to do with the occult. I'm not talking about the girls, which probably have no idea and just follow directions. In every presentation there's straight to the point masonic symbology and other kinds as well like hexagrams, hand signs in the choreographies, etc. And It's not even lightly dissimulated or difficult to identify. This is a standard internationally in the entertainment industries, record labels and such.

"KARATE" is a great song, and this is my favorite BABYMETAL music video. Not only is the production great but they do an excellent job using the visuals and the choreography (which is a big part of the BABYMETAL experience) to convey the song's message of never giving up and continuing to fight, even if the obstacle you're struggling with is your own demons (fear, doubt, other insecurities, etc.), and pushing forward. They have some other really good music videos as well like the ones for "Megitsune" and "PA PA YA!!", for example. But they are truly at their best when they're performing live, so definitely add the official video for their live performance of "Road of Resistance" to your list. honestly, I don't think you're wrong when it comes to Asian bands. They put their heart and soul into what they do. Everything they have to give is put into their music and their performance, and sometimes even a little more than that. They're probably some of the most passionate performers I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.

Hey Rapper guys! I'm a 60 year old metalhead. But music is music. I have a tendency to like certain "songs" and "tunes" from all genres! But this band "BABYMETAL" has really peaked my interest in Japan. Japan has always taken something from the west and made it better. "Music" is just one of these things. Even J-pop is better than pop in America. If you want to try something really new in Japan metal, try IronBunny featuring Eddy, you won't be disappointed. Or try BRATS a hard rockin' girl group. BABYMETAL is AWESOME! Oh and if you want to know about BABYMETAL Rick Wagner is quite knowledgeable on them.

Most people think the song is about fighting evil but its about the girls fighting negatives within themselves. The three ghost figures are their inner demons like doubt,fear and selfishness that they must face and defeat.If you notice at the end when the three ghost looking things are unmasked, they are actually themselves, and you can see the reflection of each of the girls in the eyes of the opposing selves
