NYC in the 90s was an amalgam of musical styles. As you noted the Nu-Metal phase was in full swing. They weren't trying to be part of that genre...he wasn't trying to rap. That's just how a lot of NY HardCore singing came out when put on that kind of beat :)

Biohazard is NYHC, if you don't know, it's NY hardcore scene. Started in the late 80's. They've toured with everyone, specially Pantera, definitely check out their collabs with ONYX- Slam remix and Judgement Night

I've been a massive biohazard fan for over 25 years. They mixed hardcore with hip hop, punk and metal. Always loved onyx and the lordz of Brooklyn too

Man, those were the good times....Biohazard was the most Bro Band of all times. Watched them 4 times during the 90`s and at every single gig they pulled up 30 - 40 people onto the Stage with them to mosh the fuck out. I remember one time, i was on stage for the whole duration of the Gig..LOL.. Not to mention Stage diving all fucking night long. Every gig was like the scene on that bridge you guys commented on, with the guy diving into the crowd... GLORIOUS TIMES....Pure fucking energy !!!!

Memories, those guys toured as complete unknown in a small village in France, right before they became one of the most famous band of the 90's. That was surreal a year later watching them on MTV's headbanger's Ball...

Between 91-94 some of the best albums hit including this one from Biohazard...albums like Metallica Black Album, Slayer - Seasons in the Abyss, Sepultura - Chaos AD, Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power and then Far Beyond Driven, Biohazard - Urban Discipline, Crowbar - Obedience through Suffering, Bolt Thrower - the IV Crusade, Sick of It All - Just Look Around, Life of Agony - River Runs Red...the list goes on...not to mention the start of all the younger generation to come bands getting into the mix too at that time... Hatebreed, Earth Crisis, Vision of Disorder, Strife, 25 Ta Life, Snapcase, Candiria Neglect, Another Victim. Early 90s was the best though!

Seen the other comments about Onyx /Biohazard collab tracks 'Judgement Night' and 'Slam'. You mentioned the ICP/Biohazard tour. After missing Biohazard in Tokyo, and in Brooklyn, it was that tour I seen Biohazard with ICP in Wichita, Kansas. Beleive it or not, I thought that ICP which headlined, would have the mass appeal, but it was Biohazard. The crowd was desolate after Bio-hazard finished. I met Billy & Evan showing off my Bio-Tat I got back in Hong Kong years prior. My favorite track by Biohazard has to either be '5 blocks to the subway' or 'Cleansing'

Hardcore and hip-hop mix. These dudes were the real deal. I think some of them were part of a crew, maybe DMS crew. I’m not sure. They did songs with Onyx, Cypress Hill, etc. Fun fact: They didn’t get permission to film on the Brooklyn bridge. They just got a bunch wild dudes out there and started filming.

I'm just catching up on your videos and have been watching the ones with symphonic metal just now. Might I suggest you take a look into Ayreon? The man behind this project (Arjen Anthony Lucassen, from the Netherlands) gets the greatest performers to sing and play on his symphonic metal operas: Floor Jansen, Simone Simons, Sharon den Adel, Anneke van Giersbergen, Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth), Devin Townsend, James Labrie (Dream Theater), and many more. His upcoming album even features Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) and guitar solos by Joe Satriani. Lots to get into. :)

I liked Biohazard in concert but their records never held my attention long. Evan Seinfeld (front man, vocals) went on to act on the HBO series "Oz" as a member of the Aryans. They had to cover up his Jewish star tattoo.

It's actually New York Hardcore. Those are all anti-racist skinheads in their crew, like me, some with their hair grown out. But all of them are members of the various anti-racist skinhead crews in New York City: Lower East Side Crew; Alleyway Crew; DMS (Doc Marten Stompers a.k.a. Dirty Money Syndicate etc.) and others. Yes, even the long hairs who, at one time, had much much shorter hair.
