Honestly I had to say sway, el cu cuy, untrue, something told me, alienate me, Bradley, or any of those that have that fast energy really. I really loved not living when I first heard it. I’m not so sure they’d be with something like headstones and the walking dead but I could be wrong? Dunno. A few years later, they did a cover of Peter Garbriel's Shock the Monkey with Ozzy. Korn was the band that put nu metal on the map, but Coal Chamber was important to its formation too. Just because a band is under a label doesn't have anything to do with the manager, but she's managed a lot of bands at different times.

They actually had a third female bass player when I roadied for them on the Soundwave Music Festival tour of Australia, her name was Chela. Tho Nadja ended up coming back for the 2015 reunion so Chela was 'no longer needed'.

Because that song to me goes hard as hell next to Internal Primates Forever and Dig, as I hope y'all will give it a chance since it does not disappoint. Since their one of the newer Nu-Metal bands that are actually having it make a comeback right now, and I ain't gonna front their pretty good.

Coal chamber reunion was cut short because Dez couldn't deal with the bands hard drug addiction. Dez said they begged him to do a reunion. His other band is devildriver, it's one of my favorite bands. I'll recommend a sick song of theirs. That band is a must!

A lot of the vocalists in nu metal didn't get along with others once they were famous. Fred Durst was infamously a douchebag when he was young, Jonathan Davis was apparently hated by a lot of people backstage, Corey Taylor has a storied history of negative press, Otep Shamaya is *still* getting called out for being toxic towards other bands, and Shifty Shellshock just recently got his whole group kicked off a tour after an incident. I think it just comes with the territory, and was made worse by how many drugs everyone was doing in the '90s and early '00s.

Otep just flat out sucks in everyway, she’s awful and probably the biggest joke of an artist. So yeah, I’m 50/50 on this. As for not many “Nu-Metal” bands liking each other, I’ve never heard of Sevendust having beef with Coal. I mean Rayna was literally in a relationship with Morgan, I think OP just made that shit up.

I saw them on the first Jagermeister tour in 2002 at the Roseland in Portland. I got my tickets for stumping the local DJ's with a question they couldn't answer. Also got to meet-n-greet some of them from some of the bands: Coal Chamber, ILL NINO, Drowning Pool, and 40 Below Summer members prior to the show. C.J. from Drowning Pool was pretty cool and talked to me for a good bit. Dave of Drowning Pool died just four months later.

Despite various sources on the internet claiming the ice cream man is Ozzy Osbourne, it isn’t. Look at his face. It’s a different face to Ozzy Osbourne, because he’s a different man. This dude looks like a mixture of him, Dani Filth and Noel Fielding, although is channeling a very Ozzy-like manic energy. Part of the reason people think it’s Ozzy, apart from the vague resemblance, is due to a few connections between him and the band. They played the first-ever Ozzfest, in 1996. They were managed by Sharon Osbourne, Ozzy’s wife. Later, in 1999, they performed with Ozzy on a cover of Peter Gabriel’s Shock The Monkey.

Coal Chamber Song: SWAY!!!! Glad to see your recognizing Road Runner records. They dominated the 90’s. I used to buy CDs off the fact that the CD’s label was Road Runner! Finding the next metal band was like treasure hunting. The masses really didn’t play metal. No band did more for metal music (and didn’t get credit for it) was FEAR FACTORY!!! Everyone ripped them off still to this day with the rough and then clean vocals and the matching guitar and drums. You really should give FEAR FACTORY their own day!! You’ll get 6 months out of them.

At 15:07 *note “The Great Milenko” by ICP was released by Hollywood Records, which was owned by Disney. After only a few hours after release, it was taken off the shelves and recalled. ICP later rereleased the album without Hollywood Record’s involvement with some extra tracks. I’m lucky enough to own a Hollywood Records pressing. Most money I’ve ever spent on a CD in my collection lmao

In 1998 i was at a big metal festival "Dynamo Open Air" one of the first acts was ICP. I was sticky for 3 days from all the sirup they shot into the crowd. ICP fits in the metal world somehow, atleast back then. Coal chamber also played at that festival. If you can check out "Dark Funeral" (let the devil in / Nightfall / Leviathan)

you should check out Dez's newer band Devildriver. He's the singer in Coal Chamber. I Dreamed I Died, Meet the Wretched or Swinging the Dead are great tracks on their first album. They have 5 or 6 albums out total.

In a Howard Stern interview with both bands, they said they thought they were so hated (ICP) that not even CC fans would come to the show. Their shit talking about them was more about some beef they had with Sharon.

Please, please oh please do Rivers of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name (official video) and/or Polyphia - Goat (official video). Both songs are great and reactors always love them. You'll enjoy them. Trust me. You'll regret not doing them earlier. A lot of people have reacted to those songs. Just look up how many videos there are on KZbin for both songs. They'll be worth it.

Y'all are bringing up some memories here. I saw these guys in 2001 at the jager tour. They played headliner cause the lead singer of Drowning Pool had died the night before. The guitarist went on to play for Gemini Syndrome which are awesome. The vocalist went on to do Devil Driver and I've seen them many times too. I'm all in for nu metal bands! It's my favorite time in music. Do downthesun or five pointe o if you get the chance!

I haven’t listened to these guys in ages. I remember back in the day CoalChamber and Korn, etc sounded so heavy with the dropped D tuning, nowadays it seems tame as modern metal bands have brought in 7 and 8+ stringed guitars, and pitch shifters to get even lower.
