And what I love about Mudvayne is they know Ryan is a machine and gave his bass equal part in the mix with the guitar. It became less prominent in future albums but it might not have been their input that led to that as they released the newer albums with bigger budgets, bigger name producers and more label interference.

I'm about a hour from where they were formed and I got to see them when they went on tour in their hometown ( Peoria IL) earlier this year when they reformed. It was one of the most unreal experiences I've ever felt. I would have never thought that I would had the chance to see mudvayne until I did. I took my about a week to realize that was the band that was and will probably be a one time thing and I'm absolutely blessed that I get to say that I've seen this band live in their hometown !

When this song came out in 2000 I bought the album on CD and this song just melted my brain in was almost incompressibility good. The emotion, intensity, talent in this song was part of the peek of hardcore metal. And was really the only band that was as good at that as Slipknot. But don't take my word for it.

I love mudvayne but i HATE to say i saw them live at summer sanitarium in 04 with linkin park, deftones, and metallica and mudvaynes live performance was garbage😢 the singer was CLEARLY fd up out of his mind. They must have been burnt out from being on tour or something.. on the flip side metallica and deftones were incredible live but linkin park KILLED IT!! I mean at one point, i looked around the stadium and could not find a single person sitting down. Everyone was standing on their seats. Same with metallica. The security was literally fighting people who were trying to hop over the barrier to get to the floor and get closer. Also linkin park were jumping up and down and literally thousands of people were jumping in sync

So, i realise this is an older video but the answer to your question of "who is the 4th band with Slipknot, Mudvayne and Mushroomhead to fill out the top of the roster" is System of a Down. I realize they don't exactly sound like them (or do the face paint/masks gimmick) but in the early 2000's those were the top 4 "new/nu" bands.

Three Dollar Bill Y'all is a killer Limp Bizkit album, Durst still had some anger, pain and edge in his vocals that made me a true fan. I still enjoyed the later albums, but Fred's writing and singing got more pop-ish even though the band was still putting out fire music.

I just started the video and didn't see the actual reaction yet. But a couple of items: 1 - the video is totally censored and I think it's a shortened version of the song, 2 - while I like that whole album and this song in particular there are certainly brighter gems there, like -1, Nothing To Gein, Severed, Prod. Also you were asking for Limp Bizkit fans, big one right here!! Fred Durst has a unique flow and a lot of badass features with famous rappers. You should definitely check out "N 2 Gether Now" feat. Method Man (sampled by the iconic DJ Premier) and "Ready To Go" feat. Lil Wayne. Those joints are 🔥🔥 And Fred has some pretty decent raps of his own too, like "Boiler" and "Gold Cobra". The real crazy part is. The lyrics to this song I'd put up against ANY TOP 100 SONGS OF TODAY. there's some niche stuff out there that is new and really good. But the popular shit now is garbage AF and this was mainstream to teens and young adults being played on MTV every afternoon. This whole album is just pure art. Every single aspect of it. That's why this will always be a top 5 all time album. But I'm serious stack up this song/album against anything that's come out last 5 years that's popular and comes close. "I asked a God for poison, cradle me, sewn to my dreams, soul searching. Death blossoms while clouds lie over me. Held in God's hands... Death blooming." Outtro "Dark for fear of failure, an inner gloom as wide as an eye and fermenting. Rolling hate, Death grip in my veins. Unveiling rancid petals, flowering forth foul nectar. space between a blink and a tear...Death blooms."
