It's based on the burned-in images on the ground from people dying in the firestorm and carries the line: "...there's the shadow of a man in Hiroshima." Lovebites raised the theme of war a couple of times in songs.

Knew you guys would love these girls when you got to them. Lovebites was formed by the drummer Haruna and bassist Miho from the band Destrose when they split up in 2015, the guitarists were members of other bands that left to join Lovebites and singer Asami was the backup singer for the bands Vamps and Uvrworld. Japan seems to have a lot of schools that concentrate on teaching music to a high level alongside the typical curriculum at the high school/secondary school level which is why we're seeing so many bands with quality musicians, definitely something that the rest of the world could learn a lot from. Well this band In particular is essentially a supergroup of 3 defunct bands. Bassist Miho and drummer Haruna were in a band together named Destrose. After Destrose broke up in 2015 Miho wanted to play a more classic european style metal so she recruited her former bandmate Haruna to play drums. They recruited Midori who was the lead guitar player of her band and Miyako who was in 2 bands as lead guitar. Miyako was originally recruited tonplay just keyboards and support guitar As she was a classically trained pianist before picking up the guitar. Vocalist Asami who was a back up singer for other bands came from the world of r&b/soul before sending in a demo tape of her vocals.

With her experience in Destrose, I believe when Miho decided to form Lovebites she had her own ideas what types of guitarists and lead singer she wanted in her band. Especially for lead singer Asami, her singing style was way different from most of Japanese girl metal bands.

Actually, that is what she said. It’s still on Miho’s Twitter, 2015, she posted she’d gotten drummer Haruna on board and they were gonna play pure European style retro classic power and thrash metal, and committed to singing in English (they already had one song in Japanese, so it got recorded & released, then redone with a translation; everything else written in English with coaches; they can barely do interviews; good English but not fluent). Took em nearly 2years to get singer & 2nd guitarist & get signed, then only days to release an EP, 3-4 months for a full album, THEN started playing live (and this stuff is Hard), and were playing the major festivals in Europe 6months after that, & they’ve put out an album And a dvd every year since. Like the whole Japanese (women’s) scene, on Fire 🔥🤘💃🏻🎸😎 So yes, check out the live stuff especially anything from 2020’s “Five of a Kind” where they wear gold fringes, can’t go wrong.

PLEASE READ: 2 years ago yesterday was your one and only reaction to LOVEBITES. You have to get back to the Goddesses in white, while this is my favorite song by them it doesn't even come close to show truly how talented they are. You need to buckle up and jump on this freight train ride! They are so next level in the metal genre, I can't think of a single band in the genre that comes close to their talent and musicianship. Yeah guys you just sow the winners of 2018 year in category for best new metal band. Lovebites are formed in 2016 by Miho the bassist and Haruna the drummer in Tokyo. The other members are Asami the vocalist, Midori the lead guitarist and the other lead guitarist and pianist Miyako with the black hair. This year their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. All members playing in different bands before. Only Miho and Haruna playing together in Destrose band. You should check some songs from their last concert Five of kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from this year like Thunder vengeance, Signs of deliverance, Swan song, Dancing with the devil, Holy war, We the United. All concert is mind blowing stuff. Lovebites are influenced by 80s metal. They prefer to singing english not japanese,and they like to touring in Europe. The band writing and composing the songs by them selves. Enjoy it. Lovebites, my opinion, are the best power metal all female band at the moment in the world.

The thing about these Japanese bands is that they have schools for this. They learn this from a young age all through out school ( thats why they are so skilled ) . A lot of these bands get formed in school. Don't know if this is the way lovebites got formed but i think they come from these schools.

thanks for reacting to my request my dudes. appreciate y'all. glad you like it...i thought you would, haha. i love seeing people go into lovebites blind and seeing their reactions, so i knew this would be a perfect request for y'all. there's plenty more where that came from, from lovebites if you ever feel like reacting to more. thanks again for the reaction, loved it as usual. take care y'all. side note, all lovebites songs are actually all english lyrics. sometimes it's hard to tell because the lead singers accent can be pretty thick when singing. which isn't a knock on her or anything, just kind of how it is sometimes. but she always sings in english. other side note. they have a lot of influence from 80's power metal bands. iron maiden being their main type of influence. they often get compared to them, for good reason. they also at times get compared to dragonforce due to their 2 lead guitar work and how they do their solos in most of their songs. they eventually even toured with dragonforce not too long ago. they did a pretty cool song together called farming simulator...yep. should check that out sometime just for the fun of it...or react to it if you want as well, but it's worth a watch, legit. oh and yes, my name is just y2j, like chris jerichos nickname. i just combined his nickname with my initials and got y2jeh, but it's pronounced just like y2j, the eh on the end is basically silent.

Lovebites are amazing. Best metal band around in my humble opinion, which is the correct one. Kittie are cool, they're from my hometown. They're Canadian by the way. I don't really know if they're still around or how many different people they've had in the band, but at one point they had a killer drummer. But Lovebites are the best. These ladies are very petite, the tallest maybe 5' 2". So because almost all metal concerts stages have dark back grounds, they wear white so you can see them. There is an excellent interview with them on the Duke TV channel. Believe or not Dragon Force toured with them in Europe! How would like to follow their set? Oh, by the way it's not something in the water, it's the Sake. Since you have brought it up, the music scene and industry is very dynamic in Japan, supported by culture that loves and respect the arts. Pretty much everyone knows or knows of the talented people in music. Also the band scene is very fluid, with bands forming/reforming as the Lovebites shows. React to "Swan Song" next, I want to see you surprised at the end of the song.

Yes! Most all girl rock bands do start early in junior high school for school festivals. Like most Japanese eternal friendships begin in grade school. There's a movie called, "LINDA LINDA" that shows how girl bands come together for school festivals. As time goes on a lot of these bands are discovered by music producers and this is when sometimes these friendships are seperated. Some members may not fit the producers idea for these bands future. Two members of this band, Miho on bass and Haruna on drums was original members of "DESTROSE." ( another band you should check out) LOVEBITES- WHEN DESTINIES ALIGN is a must watch and DOLL$BOXX and BRIDEAR is just two more girl groups of many that will showcase the talent coming out of Japan. w

And you should come to Wacken or another big festival here in germany, it's gorgeous! Maybe you can combine it with another Rap-Festival, if they all start again someday. But I think you are musicians and can enjoy allof the music.

This band has only gotten much better LIVE, if you were impressed with this you ain't seen nothing yet!!! These women are the real deal. The drummer Haruna is only 4' 8" but she plays those cans like a giant beast!!! Asami the vocalist has gotten so much better especially LIVE. In case nobody has mentioned how LOVEBITES was formed, here is the breakdown! Miyako (guitar), Miho (bass), Haruna (drums), Midori (the almost always smiling guitarist) and Asami (vocals) all had previously met through playing the same venues while in different bands. Miyako was in a band called A Drop of Joker which disbanded in 2016. Around the same time Miho and Haruna were leaving a band called Destrose. Miho was looking to form a band that played closer to a european-style of metal. LOVEBITES vocals are in English because their favorite bands sing in English, so they felt it was natural that they should too. They now have 3 live dvds out, so you should definitely react to their live stuff next! Just avoid anything from Bloodstock, the quality is terrible.
