Trust me on this: You can feel intense heat from **much** further away than the first five rows, at one of their concerts... even at an open air venue! It is crazy how hot it gets!

In the end, they sing about themselves and the initial difficulties that they had that they weren't taken seriously and that they established themselves as a globally known and popular band, with the same line-up since they were founded in 1994. Till played the drums in the band First Arsch (First Ass), google also has pictures of it 😂

Here is some of what I know about the meaning of the word Los: When used by itself it means “Go" example: "lass mich Los" means " let me go" and "Los geht's" means"let's go" or if someone says "los los los" they're saying "go go go" and NOT " less less less" It is also a negative suffix which when added at the end of a word means "less" ex: hilflos-helpless, zeitlos-timeless It can also mean what's wrong.. ex: "Was ist hier los?” “What’s going on here?” It also has like 2 or 3 other meanings but the one's I mentioned are more popular 😊

Great reaction! There is so much lost in translation here because the double and triple meanings would not fit. "Los" means so many diffrent things in German, it means "Go!", "-less", sometimes "free, loose". The song is about censorship and reaction of the society to Rammstein, the beginnings of the band... By the way. all band members play a couple of instruments.

These guys really do have it all, makes me want to learn an entire language just so I can sing along LOL Smokey and hollywood, I personally think you should both write a memoir! It does sound boring at the outset, but honestly it's the most unique and creative thing you can do, only one of you and no one else could ever write the same story... ... not sure if anything will ever happen with it but I've been working on my Memoir for a few years now, mainly centered around the enormous amount of paranormal and metaphysical experiences I've had, also I had a vision once that lasted for about a week I received/channeled a deck of oracle cards so maybe before I die that book will come out LOL ✌🖤😎🤘🌟

Rammstein uses many languages, sometimes in the same song and in this case they use Los in different ways. In some situations it is "go" and others it is "less". And they used less of everything on stage for that song as you can see.

GO* We were nameless and without song We were really wordless we were never again Somewhat songless, we still are Therefore not soundless, man still heard us After a gust of wind became a storm Simply unprecedented,it was time... Less They were speechless, so very shocked And very perplexed, what happened here? somewhat bewildered and guaranteed not understanding, that will be censored, they said without reason:"too bad for the music" "So shameless, that should be illegal,It is mindless what they try out,so tasteless how they make music" It is hopeless Pointless Helpless They are God.. Less We were nameless, we have a name We were wordless, the words came Somewhat songless, we still are Therefore not soundless, man still heard us, we are not without fault Only somewhat groundless, they became speechless, you'll never get rid of us. We were nameless and without song We were really wordless we were never again Sometimes songless we still are Therefore not Soundless man still heard us After a gust of wind became a storm Simple unprecedented became timeless We were -less** *This was translated as: "Less" but I believe it could also be translated to "Go" not as in "leave" but as in "advance" or "make it big"...or even "fate or destiny" because another meaning for the word "Los" is "fate/destiny" so the title could be referring to it being their fate/ destiny to be famous and talented musicians ❤️ go (v.) Old English gan "to advance, happen, take place; conquer; observe, practice, exercise," ** "Wir waren los" can been seen as "We were -less", "We were off" or "We were unleashed".

Till plays/played harmonica, bass guitar, drums, *and* piano! And no, Olli wasn’t naked, but on the Family Values Tour, they couldn’t think of actual Halloween costumes on short notice, so he, Paul, and Till just covered their parts with tape…Paul says Till cheated with the tape so his bits looked like an elephant’s…Flake and Schneider went out in diapers and Schneider added a bra to his look, and Richard was in a wedding dress. In the same documentary where Paul teased Till about the tape, Richard said he looked around at one point and Till was gone, so he thought something had gone wrong with the microphone, then Paul was gone, which he thought was strange, then Olli, and he finally realized at the end, when all that was left was him and Schneider, that the cops were yanking everyone offstage quietly, and their show ended after two or three songs.

Nice! I'm not the biggest Rammstein fan but I appreciate their music and talent. Awesome reaction🤘🏼 Also, in German "Los" doesn't have a literal translation to English, but loosely it mean "let's go"(or "come on"). Gehen, means “to go.” When used together, los gehen means “to start going” when you're about to leave to go somewhere. Whoever did the subtitles translation for this video must have done it incorrectly or they are using a different meaning for "Los". Possibly newer German slang. Or Rammstein is just being Rammstein and making shit up in the videos translation to troll people. If you look at the actual Lyrics translated into English on Google the lyrics make more sense than in this video.

Actually in the german language "los" is also used at the end of a word to descibe the lack of it. Just like in this song. For example Namen (name) + los (less) means nameless. Rammstein just uses this doublemeaning of "los" as a wordplay. They do the same thing in "Du Hast"

Flake, the keyboardist, didn't even want to be in the band at first, but eventually, he said "OK, I'll come with you". Of course, a lot gets lost in translation, especially the double or triple entendres, but also the beautiful poetry, and even for people who understand the language, but who didn't grow up in Germany, they'll miss all the references to German culture in them, and there are a lot of them. Many songs are inspired by German classic literature, old songs that go way back to the 1800s, the 1920s - 1940s, but that everybody knows in Germany, the Grimm Brothers's fairy tales, popular TV shows, but also events that have taken place that Germans would recognize immediately, but not other people... So, for people who have grown up in Germany, it's a very different experience, very deep and sometimes even painful. Also, they all grew up in East Germany, which was behind the Iron Curtain. The song "Radio" is about how they would listen to western radio stations, which was forbidden. There is a documentary on YT called "Rammstein in Amerika" (about the first time they toured there) that includes footage of their fist two bands, when they were teenagers or in their early twenties. It was difficult for musicians to get the green light to perform, they would have had to send in the lyrics beforehand to the censorship, and theirs wouldn't have been allowed, so they did spontaneous gigs on beaches and such, and often had to leave before the cops would have shown up (their bands were more into punk rock back then). They would live out of their small tour bus, and they often couldn't even afford food, so Till went to steal some to feed them all... Flake has also written a book on their experiences while touring, it's interesting and funny. You should also check out the "making ofs" of their official videos, where you get a lot of insight in who these guys are, and how smart and educated they are. You can say a lot of bad things about the former Soviet sattelite states, but their educational systems were top notch.

Los" by Rammstein seems to be about the band's journey and struggles as they established themselves in the music industry. The lyrics suggest that they were initially anonymous and lacked a distinctive sound, as they had no songs or name for themselves. However, they were not completely silent, as they had a unique and recognizable style even without words or a visible identity. The song likely references a time when the band faced criticism and opposition, perhaps from those who did not understand or appreciate their music. The lyrics describe the detractors as speechless, shocked, and unable to comprehend what was happening. The band appears to reject these criticisms, stating that they have a name and sound now, and that they are not without flaws or direction. The chorus of the song suggests that Rammstein's music is powerful and worthy of attention, even if it is sometimes unconventional or challenging. The final line, "Wir waren los" (We were gone), seems to celebrate the band's success and triumph over those who doubted them. Overall, "Los" is a defiant and empowering song that celebrates the unique voice of Rammstein and their ability to rise above adversity. This meaning interpretation was written by AI.

The most Un-Rammstein song of theirs, and it's about the band's history :-D It's kind of a self-parody: the monotone singing (which they were criticized for), the stiff posture, the lyrics reflecting the bitter press comments, the rolled "R". But then the song itself is completely atypical: the whole band at the front of the stage, acoustic, stripped down, the HARMONICA, Till and Richard headbanging together, NO FIRE! I've thought about this song way too much 😂
