I would even say Violet's parents showed the same traits - Violet's father was as violent as Stevie and Screech, and her mom stayed silent at what he was doing to Violet.

I wonder if perhaps Violet's father was the twins' father and she was pregnant when she moved out. That would make the tale even darker

Feel like I need a cigarette after such a satisfying reaction guys 😂. What always hits me hard is thinking how Jenny and Screech were born on the same day and died on the same day, side by side. Such a harrowing story of generational trauma as Screech turned out like his father and Poor Jenny like her quiet mother Violet. Great reaction! Sending love from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 ❤

A little back story...Screech's name is James Matlock, his adopted father is Michael Matlock and Screeches girlfriend (Babe), IMO, looks a lot like Margo Robbie. The night that Screech did what he did to Jenny, he also robbed a nearby house with one of his friends. Patrick didn't want to go rob the house. He told Screech he just wanted to stay home and 'chill'. Patrick probably didn't open the door for Screech because he was with Screech's girlfriend? Also, Screech didn't die on the street, he actually was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and died there.

Man it can get somewhat depressing when people just cant appreciate him and his music whenever I introduce him to them. Maybe you need to feel somewhat similar to him to real feel him. But my little brother loves him and shared him big time with his friends. They know the lyrics of every song... so they've been listening to him all the time. :D

Great reaction you two......this is an incredible trilogy. What's wild is, Ren put out Jenny and Screech basically 4 years ago.....but put out Violet's tale 9 months ago. And yet, when he did this video, it all seemed seamless, there doesn't feel like there's any time between them. The tales of Jenny and Screech were based on an event that Ren heard about in England. But, like you said, if you just heard those two tales, you begin to wonder how it all happened. So Ren closed the circle with Violet's tale. A tragic story about the Circle of Family Violence.......how Jenny was quiet and froze like her mom in the face of agression.....and how Screech got angry like his dad when faced with "Silence".

This is storytelling at its finest. Reminiscent of the bards from the Middle Ages. And you said it, Ren has this ability to really pull you into his songs that you not only HEAR it, but you can actually SEE the scenario in your mind! Now, I would not liken Ren to a rapper. Yes, he CAN rap. But in all honesty, there is no genre to define Ren. He is his own genre! He kind of reminds me of Twenty One Pilots, in that every song is always different. Now, for my suggestion (and I hope others will suggest it as well!), check out The Big Push and their version of Englishman in New York!

There's so many impressive things about the tales, but the thing that amazes me most; is that every person who listens to this, gets to Violet's tale, and wonders how this connects, but then immediately gets caught up in the storytelling, and forgets all about it until he ties it together at the end.

Also, if you go deeper into the song, the twins were separated into the foster care system, Jenny turned into a teenage prostitute, and Patrick wasn't around because he was hooking up with Screech's girl. According to promo vids Ren put out before, Screech had an abusive foster dad, had convinced a mate to go rob a flat with him that night so he would have $ to run away, but it went wrong, Screech fleeing with a large kitchen knife. He stumbled upon Jenny & in his panic & desperation killed her. There is an unsupported fan theory floating about that the officer was so close to what happened because he had just finished with Jenny, but again, nothing points to that specifically, as he really could have just as easily been on patrol, & Screech had spent a long time looking for Patrick.

Kudos, Smokey - saw you call it when he was on the hospital bed (surprised you didn't mention it!)- 'maybe it's the mother'. First time I've seen a reactor call it so early. Two zero zero five (2005) is the giveaway, as he's taken you back to 2005 (Jenny and Screech died in 2019 when their tales were written, making them 14). Crazy thing is, he wrote Jenny and Screech first. He didn't come up with Violet until a year or two later, and so had to write around the Jenny and Screech tales (when he didn't even originally write these as if they were twins) and come up with something different to tie up all the 3 tales.

Indeed! And though some might question whether Violet's story needed to be so uncomfortable and descriptive - I'd argue that it absolutely did. Just think of how many people will watch that same scene play out in a TV show or movie, and not even flinch. But every reactor I've watched has been incredibly uncomfortable when hearing it play out in Violet's tale, it's probably because the brain has to process it, rather than just passively absorb it. As a result I'm seeing people have conversations around the topic, which is severely overdue. ♥️

LOL. Amazing reaction there guys. I am so happy you got it in one. Jenny and Screech's tales were completed within a few months of each other. Violet's Tale was done over 2 years later. You can tell by how different Ren looks in the latter video compared to the first two. It is amazing that he did that and eventually tied them together.

It is a modern murder ballad! Written and performed by a most excellent modern bard. Huge English folk music influence here.

This trilogy was the first thing I heard from Ren. That was about 7-8 months ago... And now I feel like somehow, we're now all Ren. In some shape or form. It's a wonderful ride. Great reaction guys. The look on your faces was pretty reminiscent of mine, the first time I saw it. Much love my dudes.

It is so awesome and almost common in the reaction videos that the reactors are just confused and baffled by Ren's amount of skill and talent - loved watching this

I play guitar and anyone who does and also that has a love for rapping know that doing the two together is hard AF. Singing and playing is musch easier than rapping and playing, and he ads acting and all the theatrics with it. And he does it so effortlessly, he can probably do this while like eating a burrito or some shit lol. This dude is a prodigy straight up
