Rappers React To Sleep Token "The Summoning"!!!

If no one has explained the lore for you guys, allow me. Sleep Token was born when the lead singer, named Vessel, was visited in a dream by at diety crudely named Sleep. The band is anonymous, only known by Vessel (lead singer), II (drums), III (lead guitar) and IV (bass). Not really a "religious band" per say but the band does have a cultish feeling/following. Concerts are known as rituals, merch and music releases, we are told to "consume" or "devour", and when we come together during these "rituals", it is treated as a form of "Worship" (the bands main tag line). Hopefully, this gives yall some insight. As far as another song to react to, please give the title track "Take Me Back To Eden" and "Ascensionism" a listen.

Yes, this is as compact as it gets because there is time travelling, going back and forward, obsesion and many more stuff in the back, I think the lore compendium made by a fan is like 60 or 70 pages of just his interpretation and what he thinks... Sleep Token is not just a band its a experience. WORSHIP!

Technically, you could say ST is a religious band - the band's lore revolves around an ancient deity they call "Sleep." Vessel, the lead singer, said in the only interview that he has ever given, "As musicians we are inspired by the human condition and a plethora of artists, but we are deeply moved by His words and continue to do our utmost to bring them to life. As followers we are bound by a duty to combine our crafts to create music that conveys some of our most primal, and powerful emotions." Also, all of the band members are masked and anonymous, although if you really want to figure out who they are, you can. I do not recommend commenting on their identities, because the anonymity is an important part of the band to many fans. So, not religious in the sense of worshipping an Abrahamic god, but the back story is spiritual in nature. Each song is supposed to be an "offering" to Sleep, and ST fans gather to "worship."

The song is about someone you love/and ex lover. You want them/the relationship to raise you up again and so much so that you want them to take you past the edge that you are willing to die for them or wanting to die happy. As in “I want to see the other side, won’t you show me what it’s like” it’s an amazing song. The whole album goes in order of a story if you pay close attention to the lyrics in order of the songs lol, Sleep Token has been growing on me to become a top 3 band and I’ve been looking into them a lot to say the least😂💯

I wouldn’t say ST is a religious band. Religious in the sense that he is worshipping and offering to the deity Sleep. There’s a lot of stories in their discography, past relationships, self harm, depression, drugs even. It’s also very open to the interpretation of who is listening. They’re an amazing band 🖤
