I’ve never had a year where I’ve discovered more new music and bands than 2021 and Sleep Token is far and away my favorite among them all. The singer, the drummer, the lyrics and feels - all unlike anything else out there. Please go down this rabbit hole. It’s one hell of a journey. Psyched you discovered them, too!

Sleep Token has climbed onto my all-time list already, but discovering bands like Dexcore, Slaughter to Prevail, Eskimo Callboy, Spiritbox, Distant, Leprous, Lorna Shore, Imminence - I could go on far longer - has made this year even more enriching.

@@UnXplainable1 all of those bands are great too,I’m glad to see that post hardcore especially has been growing strong this year, since every 2000s post hardcore band besides dgd,Silverstein and thrice (not really Phxc anymore but their music is still phenomenal) have either abandoned the genre or are just not releasing music,it’s good to see new good bands in the genre.

Love it guys! I hope this track will trigger the rabbit hole effect because this band can do no wrong. Hollywood mentioned the drummer and if you wanna hear him go absolutely ham and cheese sandwich, check out Hypnosis. Quick rundown about Sleep Token: The singer, known only as Vessel, had a dream where an ancient deity known as Sleep appeared. The band is unified in their belief of Sleep. They are all masked and no one has a clue who they are but there is speculation that Vessel is a trained vocalist and could be someone that is already famous (ex. Bastille). Worship.

Yesssss more people on the Sleep Token train. Other songs to check out would definitely be “Higher”, “Hypnosis”, “The Love You Want”, and “Like That”, in no particular order. I feel like the one you reacted to here, “The Offering”, plus these four really showcases the diversity of this group. “Fall for Me” is another good one in that it’s really different, it’s like “Hide and Seek” by Imogen Heap.

Sleep Token is probably the favorite band that I have discovered through reaction channels. Some songs are heavier than others, so it all depends on what you want to listen to. "Dark Signs" is up there as one of my favorites.

Man, that riffing at the end of this song is all the Deftones you could ever find outside of the Deftones themselves. I love Sleep Token, and I can definitely see some Deftones influence in them at times. This is one of those times. I love it.

It's funny you guys should mention the Sleep word as in chill, while saying this Sleep Token track reminds you of Deftones a little. You need to hear Team Sleep, which is a project that Chino from Deftones did a fair few years back now. Such a good album, check out ""Ever (Foreign Flag), "Your Skull Is Red", "Ataraxia", "Blvd Nights" or "Our Ride To The Rectory" all by Team Sleep from that album Chino did. So damn good. As for Sleep Token, damn fine band too Check out "The Night Does Not Belong To God", "Dark Signs", "Hypnosis" or "Levitate". So good. They've been making real name for themselves over in the UK recently.

I was late to the Sleep Token train, only discovering them this year, and have been obsessed. They've got 2 EPs and just released their second album, "This Place Will Become Your Tomb", back in September, and it's all great music. I hear a lot of Deftones influence in their music - go listen to "Gods" by Sleep Token and then compare that to "When Girls Telephone Boys" by the Deftones... it's pretty obvious (in a good way). Would I be right in thinking this band/style has a relation to or is perhaps an offshoot of deathcore? I kinda feel like I heard sludge deathcore with November’s doom( when they do clean of course) vocals.
