EC have experience with Deutschrap (😁) already. In 2015 they released the song "Best Day" feat. Sido. Since 2004 Sido had 109 songs in the German top 100 single charts, 19 of those reached the top 10 and 14 albums on the top 100 album charts, 13 reached the top 10 and 5 of those ranked 1. In 2021 hip hop duo 257ers did one of the seven official alternative versions of EC's "Hypa Hypa", with Nico & Kevin doing guest vocals on the chorus. 257ers had 6 songs in the single charts, one in the top 10, seven albums in the charts, three in the top 10 and two ranking 1. Later in 2021, they collaborated with youtuber/ streamer Kalle Koschinsky (he appeared in a few of their music videos prior and after) on the song "Castrop X Spandau" (referring to EC's hometown Castrop Rauxel and Kalle's residence Spandau, which is a borough of Berlin). Both Kalle and Nico rap on it, Kevin has a short (heavy! but short) screaming part. It was EC's first time doing vocals in German themselves.

They did a lot with rap - collabs so far. Check out the "Hypa Hypa" version made by the 257ers. That's a full rap song based on Hypa Hypa with Electric Callboy (the rap stars here are the 257ers). You're gonna like it. And another older song worth checking out with Germanys no 1 rapper Sido is "Best Day". But the rap elements are very small here.
