Luka is right about Ice Cubes last few albums, they weren't good. Despite that he definitely deserves perfect, he did so much to impact hip hop he needs to be in that tier. Now to Fantanos defense statement, lets be clear, there is no down Nas period. That narrative is spewed because heads didnt like the beat selection on Nastradamus but the lyricism and concepts are still elite. The problem in real time though was DMX, Jay, Eminem and the club era movement was thriving and thats not what Nas gave you on that. Could it have been better if the double album didn't leak and it was all on the original I Am production? Ofcourse, but Nas never lowered his pen game ever. One of Melon heads worst takes is his hate on Life is Good which is a great album so im guessing that period until the Kings Disease ERA is what he's referring too. And to the NFR boys, HOV declined in terms of complete projects post Black Album. Plenty of bangers on each record he's made in that time span but tons of throw aways on each record besides 444. To be fair no ones gone that deep into their life still giving you classics besides maybe KRS ONE but he doesnt even get any main stream love
