I truly feel as though Kanye is a good person, who was driven to insanity by hollywood and the media. Yes he obviously has mental illness, but look at how composed he was in this video. And this was just before the shit that happened with Kim, Pete, etc. He was fine, a good guy. Then, for some reason, the media made him a target for all kinda of drama, he's dealt with unrelenting trauma for a year now. On top of dealing with all that with bipolar it's not a shocker he snapped. It just truly makes me sad that it happened, and that he's falling apart so bad trying to save himself

Anyone with a “diagnosed” psychological “condition” like the ones you mentioned, are just the uniqueness that gives us every perfect person that contributes to society. We NEED these “conditions”. But WHY do the words “condition” and “diagnosed” have a negative connotation? I’m not saying you can’t pinpoint specific behaviors or monitor the brain in such a way that shows the individual is not “normal”. But I greatly disagree with labeling those individuals with such negative words. Kanye is a genius. He is a musical genius. He isn’t a science genius or computer genius but that doesn’t mean he isn’t a genius. And I LOVE that despite the weight society has placed on his “diagnosed” “mental illnesses”, he still calls it his superpower😎 Freaking love that guy and happy to see him becoming wiser and even finding his roots in his faith❤️

I don't usually connect with Kanye but man do I feel this one. I was a quiet kid but very smart, honors all throughout school, but was I guess considered weird and my parents put me on medication at around 12 years old. Just a kid, no choice or say so in the matter, you trust whatever the doctor says as you're taught to do, whatever. Saw psychiatrist one after another, behavior health places, yada yada, put on more and more pills. Oh, this one doesn't work, here's this one. I understand hands down the system he's describing. They are nothing more than a suppressant. An easy solution to an "unpredictable people." 14 years later when I'm 26, I'm misdiagnosed with this and that, and some pill called Seroquel gave me Tardive Dyskinesia severely. Such a bad loss of function in my nervous system, legs and arms flailing around all the time. Psychiatrist said "oh go ahead and stop the pills then, it's okay no withdrawals." Oh wow was he a liar, I felt like I was dying for two solid months. Six months later, started smoking marijuana for the pain and the amount of whatever was going on in my head. Cut to now, I'll be 29 soon and have never been more productive in my LIFE. Physical exercise gave me most of my function back but my hands are kinda janky and weird, I have so many hobbies other than sitting around like a lump, I have gained friends and rekindled old friendships that I let die out because medications are nothing more than a numbing agent for the mind. Now I have plans, ambitions, goals, I go outside, I take walks, and the best part of it all? I lost all of that god damn weight that those pills gave me, 80 pounds gone through exercise and I'm no longer overweight. Screw medications

I think he can articulate them. Alot of people just don't have the attention span or willingness to listen to multiple ideas being articulated for more than a few sentences and then wrapping back around to make a point. Trump talks in this way too. You can make both Kanye and Trump sound absolutely stupid by just clipping a few of their sentences out of context and replaying them. But if you listen to their entire statements they make way more sense and hit home a point. Its a speaking style like how a comedian wraps up his bit with a joke that relates to his opening kind of gluing his entire set together. If you came in in the middle of the set the ending makes no sense and isn't funny. If you were there for the beginning middle and end its a super funny moment. Almost a shaggy dog story way of talking.

He's very unfiltered, and doesn't take time to develop his thoughts. When the whole "black people chose to be slaves" things came out, it was in the middle of a larger rant and in context, while not necessarily coherent or correct, made some sense and was probably the result of trying to compress a complex thought into a few words. Thoughts about the welfare state and the selling of africans by other africans. I dont worship the man. Dont even listen to his music, but when I hear him speak I do believe he wants to be a voice of free thinking.

I have a very difficult time watching someone go through mania because of my mom, but I have learned watching her and dealing with my own mental health struggles that we still need to deal with our issues. And I am not saying do it alone but do it, and not taking the medication isn't doing it. My fiancé takes her medication and still does her art. Beautiful art. I'm a musician and I thought my anti depressants stiffled me, but that wasn't true whatsoever. His treatment of Kim through the years and especially during the current breakup has been abusive. Kanye is just someone worried about the aesthetics and originality of his own expression, so while he's talking to you he's working on his personal project of self-expression, on creating his own style, which have kinda like its own design goals aside the mere goal of communicating an idea, and every speech is a jam, an exploration, an experience, full of trial and error, so sometimes the designer's attention is called upon some specific detail, some effect, or layers as JR describes it.

Mr. West is wild. Now he's in Texas where it's religious and rowdy. Perhaps the new leaf he's turning requires a deadlift and a flippin. So hes shuffling and dealing the matches like a tinder snatch. And in Through the looking glass a labyrinth has many paths. Birds eye view of amazing block of swiss cheese. Though in 2020. I dont give a rats year end.

He's talking about Socratic Truth and doesn't even know it. He independently created the idea that got Socrates crucified, I'm actually impressed. And it's kind of crazy to see people haven't improved intellectually since then, People still hate it and try to destroy it.

This is true but I do think stumbling on that truth could turn into an ego filling beyond control. Brilliant people lose control of it and that’s holding him back. It’s like any good trip, you can come back and go mad because it’s harder to relate, or you can find the ways to relay that information, what you bring back down.

The Socratic method by definition is based on logic and established, demonstrable evidence, and is largely incompatible with Kanye’s waffling about faith and God’s vision.
@GhibliNova

@@Jon.S Socrates is more than the founder of his method. I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about Socratic truth which Plato tried to articulate with the idea that learning is remembering. And it's the realm of the forms which impresses truth upon us, allowing us to learn("recall") truth and meaning. What Kanye saying is functionally the same, only swapping out the realm of the forms, for god.
@GhibliNova
@GhibliNova 3 жыл бұрын
@Tiger Tamer no it isn't, both are other worldly things that impress truth into us. One is before christ and calls the other world forms, and it's the forms that do the work. And one is modern and calls the other world heaven and god does the work. They're equivalent

Why do people, who get excited about topics, have to be labeled? Not everyone will have the same energy as you, or a doctor. Labels block free thought.
@keenansmith2509
@keenansmith2509 3 жыл бұрын
@@shealee3198 well, ask what is the purpose of a label itself. If a condition is impacting upon someone’s life, such as the manic episodes Stephen Fry experienced fuelling his cocaine addiction, a diagnosis (medical term for label) can be very beneficial. It formally identifies a problem that is recognised scientifically, can be understood in a context and then treated/get help for this mental health issue which is impacting upon one’s life.

@@kanorcubes329 yeah. The first time, for example as a kid and a teen you believe blindly, but then you discover the truth, you see it, and then you start believing again, because you know it is true. It is a rational vision, wisdom that you gain by thinking logical and rational enough, that you understand reality itself. And then you realise, there must be some godlike concious, which is full of wisdom, beauty and strength, who loves you unconditionally, and is willing to help you become the human individual, you always were meant to be.
