still one of the best videos live performances on youtube. I'll be slapping 4tay forever. "4 tha hard way" CD is always in my car stereo, and I have metal tape singles of "players club" and "I'll Be Around" for cassette deck in the home theater.

I think it's awesome seeing The Spinners having a good time vibing to a remix of their song. It probably brought them back to the Soul Train days.

Lil Fly was such a playa man, I look up to Frankie J and Lil Fly so much - they were the OG pioneers of the generation that made hip hop so big in the 90s - if it wasn't for the OGs who fathered the young playa generation we would not have had the amazing unity in hip hop that people like neckapb in this comment section know Nothing about.

what you mean they dont deserve this... its the spinners song fuckyoumean

The Spinners did not deserve butchering their song like this, the more so in their own presence - making them stand in the back of all this. However, those who cannot do without using the 4-letter word every time, may be of other opinions. I could not care less.

I believe the Spinners loved this usage of their song way back then...

Well they might like the money that could come with that.

Probably, who wouldn't....funny to see these giants of the music industry (and I include Rappin 4-tay) playing to an overwhelmingly white audience on Liebwitz's show.... At this point bay area hip hop was huge, it took a long time for the music industry to destroy it with commercial garbage for white suburbia to buy....

These two young men had great respect for the Spinners they appreciate what the Spinners stand for a positive message to all young people especially in the black community .Bobby Smith was the lead singer and he approved all the songs if he didn’t like their music and message they would not be performing with them

Rappers bitin.’ off The Spinners song. I don’t see any rappers inviting R&B groups to join them onstage for THEIR songs. All they ever do is steal R&B hits ..and then re-record them, filled with profanity and smut. Then they turn around and talk about the old groups like dogs .The entire rap music industry, is based on copying everybody else’s Records.
