This is a Raptor grille for a pre-facelift MK8 transit. Ford Transit from 2014 to 2018 before the front end was redesigned. This a not an official ford part. Ford Transit from 2019 onwards, this type of grille is available as part of the official ford part on the "Trail" edition.
The quality of this part seems great and more sturdy than the original and it fits well but is a tight fit to get in.
The hardest part is removing the old grille, the bottom set of clips are difficult and must be careful not to be broken in the removal process if been done without removing the entire bumper. I hope you find this semi How to guide helpful

Just fitted mine. Wish I could offer any more advice but it's just a pig of a job to remove old grill. Those lower clips don't want to play nice. Worth it though 👌

I poured a boiled kettle over the areas where the clips are and the grill popped off without any problems. I had more problems getting the new grill to clip in, but got there after a few sweary words 😅

Yeah I used a heat gun and swearing. I think swearing did most of the work

Sure no problem. My BFG KO2’s are 225/75 R16 115. Higher weight rating than my vans originals ( 113 ) and no rubbing on full lock or lift needed. There are a few larger sizes but rub I’ve been told

Ford never made this grille on the pre face lift version like I have. so it’s a made by a Turkish company. That’s annoying the links are broken again. I’ll see what I can do to find some new ones

That’s one smart looking van so much so I’d be tempted to cross into the dark side from previous Relay and Boxer conversions Could you sleep across the van ie does it allow for a 6foot bed?

Thank you! I love the transit base van, it’s got its quirks and a lot of curves but you get used to when building. I’ve worked on relay and been in a few boxers. The transit still tapering at the top but you could have A sideways bed depending on how high you make the bed and how tall you are As for the 6 foot bed. It’s possible I think my bed is 185cm ( wall to wall ) but as I’m 6’1” it’s not ideal for me so I sleep lengthways

Yes and no. The post face lift 2019 Ford transit Mk8 “trail” edition has factory raptor style grille. My pre face lift 2018 has a aftermarket non Ford raptor looking grille

Yes it’s brilliant, it’s only used for my recirculating shower system, but the components are for domestic water supply filtration normally

Mine came with front fog lamps and a front fog lamp button in the dash, factory fitted

If the grille is wider at the bottom, it’s pre-facelift if it’s wider at the top, it’s facelift. Pre-facelift has small circular foglamps on the lower bumper, facelift doesn’t

A bird strike at that speed on most car and Van grille would probably smash straight through. The results between the original and aftermarket grills would be the same. This a moulded plastic

Thank you for using the link ( if it still works, they keep changing the listing ) Not that dodgy, just pull off old, cut old supports. Refit new. Heat or unclipping the parts of the bump can help. But I’ve found it easier for some and not others.

Bought this exact same grille….terrible fit though….it has needed a grinder & a file to make it fit…& still the top clips won’t clip in properly….it’s going to need a few discreet screws to hold the top in…..no where as easy to fit as in all the vids on KZbin

you have to live ford and all auto manufactures for intentionally using ugly grills when they could clearly use the nicer raptor grill for the same price.

The raptor grilles are the “upgraded” version on the transit. I think it’s the “trail” edition comes with the raptor
