Geez, another guy who doesn't understand what the stats say. Paint Points, and Shots in the Paint DO NOT INCLUDE shots where a foul was committed unless it's an and 1. You don't know how many paints shots or drives are missing because fouls were committed in the paint. Once a foul is committed and the shot is missed, the shot no longer appears in the stat sheets as a shot. If you want the whole picture of "aggressiveness" you need to know where people were shooting from when they were fouled, and you can't find that in the play-by-play transcript, you'll have to go watch the game or find a deeper level of stats than the official box score.

That logic doesn't make any sense. A 23-2 FT disparity in ONE quarter is insane. Especially when you factor in the final score is decided by 1 point, and the Lakers won the quarter by 2 points after allowing 42pts in the 4th.

The real issue is that the Raps gave the Lakers 8 FTs off intentional fouls, 2 off the flagrant for the elbow, so to be ranting about 23 free throws when you literally asked the refs to give them 8 is looney bin material. What did he want the refs to do, just run out the last 24 seconds of the game?

Amin used to have a job in the NBA. Are they scared to mention anything about how the games are officiated and have the appearance of being rigged? it wasnt just the free throw disparity, he should have mentioned the challenge reviews which of course all went lakers way, the offensive fouls against the raptors to wipe out made baskets late, including the 3 that would have dared to tie it, so one ref bought the Davis flop away from the play. the free throw disparity was just ONE of the examples of the horrible 4th qtr biasm that happened. The raps beat the lakers 5 on 5 last night. but they couldn't beat them 5 on 8.

I love that this coach was willing to be this honest. Maybe it's because he hasnt yet been conditioned to be fearful of league fines. Refs have a tough job, objective fans know that he has a point here. Refs are human. And they frequently give benefit of the doubt calls to teams with better, more experienced or more popular players. This is not a new concept. If you watched the game, you could see that the calls were too egregious and lopsided for it to be considered a coincidence

Barnes might not be THE face, but definitely one of them. The game is getting more and more international, and a lot of international fans that don't have a specific player they root for usually default to the Raptors, surprisingly enough. The refs are crooked, and that's something I think 29 teams' fans can agree with.

So, to Amin's point... There are a diminishing number of Scottie and Scottys. If you Google Scottie, you're gonna get dogs until you get to Pippen, and then Barnes, and then Miller. (who on the official Atlanta Falcon page IS Scotty Miller.) The only other one that wasn't covered is golfer Scottie Scheffler, who I had no idea existed until he hit a monster 420-yard drive the other week. However, to back Billy up, the NBA seems to list whatever the hell players go by. The NFL is much more rigid. Go look at Mitch Trubisky. You ever hear a broadcaster or the PA guy announce him as "Mitchell"? That's what he is on the official NFL site, though. So, the designation of Scotty Miller as a Scotty and NOT a Scott is correct. Bob is also up there on the list of other names which have disappeared besides Fred. Go watch Jon Bois video about the "Bob Emergency".
