But the park building aspect is addictive but the dinosaurs, the things that make the game and the movies that they are based off of are okay in design, sometimes not always, and definitely poorly portrayed behaving in some areas.

I think pack hunting should be 5 Raptors: 10% chance of a Large Sauropod takedown (EX: Brachiosaurus) 15% chance Med. Sauropod Takedown (Ex. Apatosaurus) 30% Chance Sm. Sauropod Takedown (Ex. Nigersaurus) 20% Chance Large Theropods (Ex. T-Rex) 50% Chance Med. Theropds (Ex. Allosaurus) 50% Chance Armored Dinosaurs (Ceratopsian and Stegosaurs) but Ankylosaurs should be 25% 70% Chance Hadrosaurs (Ex. Paras) With each Raptor gone from a pack the chance of success on all above groups should be decreased by 5% excluding Med. Theropods it’s should be 2.5% decrease.

@@LionStar844 well in real life a Velociraptor would come up to about your lower thigh so there’d be absolutely zero chance they’d be able to fight a Rex, Giga, Allo or any kind of large Carnivore. Maybe a Deinonychus or a Utahraptor could pose a threat but still doubt they’d want to fight one of those apex carnivores unless it was to compete for food in an environment with scarce resources.

From my observations, as someone who has not played JWE2, I think this change could help balance the pack-hunting a bit. If a small carnivore gets “yeeted” by a larger carnivore, smacked/kicked by a large herbivore, or directly fallen on by either, it should be an automatic kill regardless of defense stats. It would be the equivalent to how a Gallimimus automatically dies when grabbed by a large carnivore, regardless of its own defense stat. In contrast, a raptor-type carnivore would still be merely injured upon getting shaken off, which could be mitigated by higher defense stats.

You would loose so many raptors to this though. It simply would be far to costly to let them fight anything. And pack hunting is what JP raptors are known for. With exception to the sauropods, who honestly should dominate every fight they are in but in Jurassic Park apparently are harmless, I think a Large class dinosaur falling on them should deal immediate low health damage and force that raptor to retreat. With a low chance off outright killing it, or killing it if it already was injured. Tone down the ragdoll physics a ton, Allo has no business throwing something that heavy that far, and make the raptors as agile as they normally are and land some of those throws as a chance to mitigate some of the damage. Getting tossed by a bite or kicked should deal damage as if it was a 1v1 fight. That way high defense raptors can hang in the fight while all offensive ones probably back off less they get landed on and killed due to already being hurt. Makes the stats of the raptors important, balances them out without turning them to actual glass, and makes them more intelligent by backing away from fights that will kill them. This would mean that hunts are longer overall. Multiple attempts are needed to bring down larger game, and the stats on how fast both sides recover hp will really determine if a target is viable to hunt. A high damage but low recovery target would be prime game for high defense high recovery raptors. Might take a few more attempts as any injury will make them reconsider attacking again, but wearing down a target overtime is what pack hunting is designed to do.

@@starlight0313 Realistically? Of course. But this is Jurassic Park. Raptors are repeatedly hit with vehicles and are somehow just fine. In gameplay like I mentioned, with as frequently as they get landed on, even animals they should be able to kill would kill all the raptors pretty much every time. You would lose so many of them as to never have them fight anything. Which is why I suggested damage values as to keep things sorta balanced with the in game stats. Rather than X dinosaur wins any raptor engagement unless X number of raptors are present.

I agree with the original comment. Raptors are lightweights and should be treated as such. If a triceratops rams a velociraptor it is dead. If a edmontosaurus kicks a velociraptor raptor it is dead If a Tyrannosaurus rex bites a velociraptor it should die. Not to mention that the raptors shouldn’t even be killing these giants this fast in the first place. In the films the raptors only succeed in making superficial wounds on the tyrannosaurus. In my humble opinion pack hunting should be a system where the raptors actually harass the larger dinosaur. Until they tire out and then going in for an attack. With the medium sized dinosaurs what currently is in the game should be fine. However the dinosaurs still shouldn’t die as fast. Large Sauropods should be off the menu unless it is weak or sick. The fact that 3 raptors can take out a brachiosaurus is silly and all the brachiosaurus needs to do is move slightly and the raptors die. Speaking of pack hunting I feel like this should extend to the larger carnivores when hunting sauropods. Where the carnivores harass the sauropod but the get one shotted if the get hit.

They really need to add more to this, cause I think this is my new least favorite feature. It could've been so much better. A couple things I noticed, the dinosaurs being attacked never really fight back other than throw a raptor 20 feet or roll around 😂 and some of the dinosaurs in my opinion aren't really behaving that closely to a real animal. Pack hunting needs to be fixed and upgraded, the new cool animations have to be tweaked cause they're buggy, and that's it but overall a good game

Some of them do not seem to be fighting back much - except the T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Chungkingosaurus, and Pachyrhinosaurus - other than shaking off the raptors. The carnivores should be able to lunge and bite a raptor, ceratopsids should charge a raptor with its horns. Sauropods and large ankylosaurids should be too tough on their hides/armor for the raptors to even try.

Ankylosaurs look like they are getting weighed down by the Raptors, which explain why they keep falling to the sides. And usually, a Sauropod in science theories can fight back or resist against one Carnivore, but if the Carnivores come in packs, well, the Sauropod is in trouble.

Hopefully later in a update they make it so that dinosaurs can actually fight back. Like instead of the ankylosaurus just dropping to the ground until it’s killed, it drops to the ground then gets up and swings it’s tail around knocking a couple. Same with the carnivores. Like have the t-Rex wrestle one off and then stomp it’s head in as it’s trying to get up.

In all complete seriousness, my feelings on pack-hunting are…mixed. Seeing the raptors take down hadrosaurs and other medium sized dinosaurs is cool, but it’s really hard to take the sauropod fights seriously. This needs to be nerfed.

There are science theories about sauropods. They do resist or fight back against one Carnivore, but they’re not the smartest dinosaurs out there. If the sauropod is against multiple Carnivores, then it cannot fight back.

Well, it is a game and isn't the most realistic, but I think if a pack of raptors snuck up on an anky and they went for the under belly than I think they could kill it, this would be a hard challenge and they mostlikely wouldn't do it unless they were starving.

They need to make it to where the big dinosaurs aren't always just on the defense. They need to get aggressive and attack back. No way a small pack of 4 raptors could bring down some of these beasts. A lot of them yes but definitely not all.

I feel like the sauropods should use their tails instead of just stomping to get Raptors off. Also, Iguanodon should make better use of its front limbs, and the same goes for Spinosaurus

Ok there are… many things terribly wrong with this: 1. The dinosaur that is currently under attack never really “fights back” all they do is grunt and act like they are … “stomping”? Like they suddenly forget they have weapons of their own, a single… • Tail swing of Stegosaurus or Ankylosaurus • Bite of T.Rex or Spino • Horn slam of Triceratops would be more than enough to kill the raptors they impact. They would never survive those attacks. Hell the prey dinos don’t even MOVE to escape from the raptors. 🙃 2. The raptors look like they were programmed to be “inmune to pain” many dinosaurs launched them into the air at many miles per hour and they wake up like everything was okay. The distance some carnivores throw them would be enough to kill them or at least leave them really injured. 3. Even if is a group of 5 raptors, the probability that they would attack dinosaurs like Tyrannosaurus, Spinosaurus but even more importantly… the enormous sauropods like Brachiosaurus or Mamenchisaurus is extremely low. Clearly they are too great for them to even dare to attack. You see it even with nowadays small predators with potentially giant “preys” even when the first ones are in groups. 4. The animations, though a bit more improved from the first JWE, are still a bit odd, the raptors sometimes look like they weren’t attacking the Dino at all and just like “vertically starring” there and somehow the prey still continues to grunt and take damage. Also where the hell is the improvement of giving the prey dinosaurs gullible and realistic defending animations that kill some raptors and actually put up a fight. 5. Again, with the animations and also more into behaviors… it would have been really an improvement if the raptors weren’t inmune to everything and one or two would actually die in the encounter and the rest of the pack would flee from the winning prey, as they are running out of group advantage, giving the winning dinosaur the chance also to pursue and scare them, like a rhino, elephant or lion would do when the smaller attackers (like hyenas) concede. 6. Speaking about animations, the deaths of the huge sauropods are just… terrible; they look like they were inflatable fake dinos getting the air sucked away and blandly falling into the ground. Which also would have been cool that raptors could have been killed if the huge sauropod fell on them or actually stomped… but nope. 7. With enough damage, like the one a good tail whip from a stegosaurus would provide, to some of the raptors, they would flee from the fight given how smart they are once they’ve realized that they could lose more members than actually hunt the Dino, still they continue to attack no matter what like braindead yolo animals. Again, not even realistic in JP’s logic. 8. I don’t want to be more salty, but with this overrated pro-velociraptor escenario/outcome… many people are going to hate them. And by no means I think raptors are bad dinosaurs… but looking at this, I give faith that some of the hate would be earned, sadly. … Thanks I hate it. I didn’t really had hopes on JWE2 provided how weak JWE was compared to Operation genesis and thought that they just wanted more money, and honestly I had also hopes that I would be wrong and JWE2 would really be the Operation Genesis’s rightful and remastered sequel after many years… but looking at this and other bugs from the dinosaurs’ behaviors, glitches in the management and lazy designs for multiple animals and infrastructure cosmetics… absolutely not. I’m grateful I didn’t buy it myself and only played it through a friend.

The migration that I’ve told you has a big herd of Ceratopsian dinosaurs (Styraco,Chasmo,Nasuto,Pachyrhino,Penta,Sino,Toro),Stegosauridae dinosaurs,Ankylosauridae and Hadrosauridae should be from Trinity river bank of Texas (92 km first of the river) to the central America and finally approach the Amazon Rainforest. Underway from Trinity River to Deep Inland Amazon Rainforest, the herd had to pass the Trinity River. Under the Trinity river,some Deinosuchuses (giant crocodile) dragged down some Pachyrhino,Nasuto,Penta,Toro,Oloro,Corytho,Lambeo,Edmonto to the deepmriver and drown them. When the herd pass Twin Mountains, Oloro,Corytho,Chasmo,Styraco and Edmonto are hunted down by Acrocanthosaurus after a few days they cross central america and approach Amazon Rainforest and they live in the bank of Amazon River
