i had been, when i was 13-14. there were a bunch of us. we grew up in the arctic zone, a small town where everyone knew each other, winter all the time. you know, it was in the 2010's, the internet just started appearing there, we were living in our own bubble. we didn't know anything about cu1ts. we used to visit an apartment of a nice lady, she was handicapped (i hope it's an appropriate term). she used to gather all the kids (mostly from poor families) of the neighborhood to give sweets and to tell stories about God...i was suspicious of them, because their bible was a bit different that an orthodox christians had (because i had one in my house). I wouldn't dare to ask why it was different. Her apartment walls were covered with pictures of Jesus made by kids. It was horrifying to see, tbh. And there was a couple, they were foreigners. A man, from an english speaking country, named, let's say, Kevin, and his girlfriend (they were super creepy). It seemed okay for us, that we almost everyday visited their house. Eventually we stopped our visitings as we stopped hanging out with each other. Many years passed by, I have moved to the city. One day I was at work at a huge photo studio, front desk. A man and his family wanted to get passport pictures. Their vibe was weird. And he came up to me to pay for pictures, looked me in the eye (his gaze was mortifying). And he asked me if i believed in God. I said no. He started talking about God, that He's almighty and forgiving if you believe in Him. And suddenly I remembered my visits to this lady. I was scared of him and I blurted out my story about her and that foreign couple. He asked me where i was from. He immediately recognized that name, Kevin. The next thing he said that his community send that man to my hometown to promote their beliefs. It sent chills down my spine. And I realized that the whole time it was the j3hova's witnesses. Man, I just froze in fear. In the end that crazy eyed man invited me to their 'community'. I told myself: no way i'm coming to these people to brainwash me and manipulate me into something. hell no. Anyway, be careful, guys. This world is full of weird sh1t.

Personally i didn't know about these organization in real life but i have read so many frictional stories which actually relates this story.... i think that these people take advantage of people's emotional stress where some blame themselves or believe that God can save them so that these organisations can grab money....and the fact that famous/wealthy people attend these seminar because we know that big people have much more emotional damages than common people. They always have that greedy compitition to be in the top n so on... so i think they r more helpless n to save themselves they use to attend these so called religious seminars.........And yeah i believe that there r also some secret organization where they perform supernatural activities 👀......

Picture me from Sara Ziff is a nice insight into what models go through. Also, if you can find "Girl Model", it follows Nadya Vall being picked from an open call in Russia and then had to deal with being sent to Japan. It's kinda disturbing, but shows what young models may have to go through. There is also "Speaking Dolls" filmed by model Manon Leloup around 2014 that documents her fashion weeks and has interesting backstage bits. It's in French, but has subtitles.

This excessif admiration of faces and physical features in humans is what led to incident like this. She was a normal child who needed to grow, study, have a family like everyone else and LIVE. She was worshipped by people yet had no actual life and didn't had the chance to grow and strengthen her personality. Faces are made of bone muscle collagen blood vessels and sift tissu it's not something ethereal . If you analyse what you adore about specific features you'll find thar it rooted in the world's infatuation with Europe and some kind of infatuation with adolescent and preadolescent features in young girls. Her beauty should have been used to give her confidence and it was only for her to enjoy. Humans are not toys they are not work of art they are not material things and girls are not public property.

I read an article in Russian about Ruslana. Interesting points the article claims: 1) Ruslana’s body was found around 15m away from the building. She jumped from the 9th floor. 2) After Ruslana died, her mom didn’t get anything from her wealth. Ruslana’s agent pocketed the money by taking it to court. 3) As mentioned in the video, a friend with whom Ruslana attended these “self-improvement classes” - a fellow model, Anastasiya Drozdova also ended it by jumping the same way in 2009 in Kiev.

And, there was the "fact" of the lawsuit against her agent for $500,000 in unpaid earnings (possibly from unsavory jobs), and THEN, when she's "conveniently" no longer living, the agent also keeps ALL of her money and her mom got NONE? Nope, nothing suspicious here... Watched a few vids about former Soviet block countries' "modelling agencies", and how the girls are OFTEN sent to foreign countries, a$$ualted 3ex^ally, emprisoned and "broken-down" suffering beatings, food & water deprivation and all sorts of humiliations, and then held hostage and p!mped-out for YEARS, and then often end up "deceased by own hands". Even IF they somehow get away, they are too ashamed to go home and face their parents - often single mom parents, so the beautiful daughter is the only financial hope. Heart-breaking... I pray that there actually IS a God of Righteousness, who will avenge these poor women, who were born beautiful, and only hoped to travel for an exciting job, wear beautiful clothes and gain financial stability/ prosperity in a modern fairytale equivalent - and maybe even meet & marry a prince charming, too. Too bad the industry atttracts such evil-hearted abusers - but as you found out at "church", they are everywhere, and of both/ all genders. Thanks for sharing this heart-breaking story. I can't remember the agency, but back in the day (circa 1970s, in NYC), the models from out of state or town had to stay in the female agent's home/ model apartment, just to give the girls a home life and accountability to responsible adults, trying to prevent this common abuse. Some of the models griped about the strict control, but at least they were kept safer from predators...

I live in a Mexican beach town that couldn’t care less about things like a “Russian model dying” back in 2008 but when she died it literally came out on our local newspaper with a big picture of her in a white dress and gorgeous curly hair. I was 14 and I remember being extremely disturbed and sad about that news, I kind of got obsessed with her case because back in the day we were not using Instagram or Twitter as much so I used to look for videos of her on KZbin… I even bought the Ninfa Ricci perfume because of her…then it seemed like the whole world forgot about her. I once in a while remember her and feel so sad that she died at 20.

As someone who also works in the entertainment industry as a model, thank God I never experienced anything nearly as bad but when it comes to the “odd” organisations you mentioned I gotta be honest, a lot of the times the clients who hire us think they own our souls just because they’re paying us a few bucks and some even act like a cult. I work as a runaway model, promoter and hostess of events and most of the times when you first get an offer they say you’re supposed to do something like stand there and greet the guests and when you arrive there they expect you to do completely different things like ex0tic dance or act like a str1pp3r. In no way I’m a dancer (let alone a str1pp3r) and you don’t know either what you’re going to wear. They wanted me to wear a chain top that you could see my breasts and n1ppl3s. I put my foot down and the stylist literally bullied me for not wanting to be n4k3d. We reported everything that happened to our agency and they did little to nothing. Everything was so odd in general and the event had major cult vibes like they had the richest families and people from all around. I have worse stories but they really don’t see you as a human being in that industry unless you come from a famous rich family or are already famous yourself like an influencer with a voice or something. It drains your soul way too much, I’m taking a long break now and focusing in college Edit: I’m changing some of the letters of words that could be triggering to the algorithm so this doesn’t have to be deleted

Thank you for this video. People need to hear about this. I did freelance modeling for a few years. I had left it behind, got married. I did my best to not tell my daughters about it. I didn't want them to try going into modeling. All 4 of my kiddos are naturally, drop dead gorgeous. I encouraged them to cultivate love & kindness in their hearts & get a solid education. Eventually, when they were older, they found my modeling portfolio where I had it tucked away in the back of my closet. Then, they found out, they were well educated & self-supporting at the time they found it.

My theory why she still made plans on the day of unaliving: she went out with her ex the night before, they took drugs/at least drank and the drop in serotonin and endorphins the morning after pushed her obvious depression over the edge. Not even taking into consideration that maybe he rejected her, or just being around an ex wasn’t great for her. The reason why that other girl that attended the cult k*lled herself a year after, is bc that cult was toxic af and contributed to worsening the horrible mental state these two girls were already in.

Modeling agencies taking young, disadvantaged girls living in poverty in remote places is common, particularly from Russia. These girls get taken away from their family and their country so they are easy to manipulate and can be forced to work for little or no money with promises of fame, or with threats of being stranded in a foreign country, and often can get forced into pr0stitutio0n. They are too young to know their rights or stand up for themselves. And the vast majority of these girls will never make it big, probably getting rotated out for younger, fresher faces within a couple years.

I worked for a fashion photographer, as assistant, in Milan but we travelled the world for shooting and ads campaigns. It was harsh for teenage models, especially the 14teen and 15teen years old. They were harrased everyday and all day long, bookers sent them to Milan restaurants to eat for free, but this places were full of men who stalked models. Btw Hayley Kohle died "jumping" from a model flat in Milan, after fighting with her flatmates (4 russian models). Unfortunately, the agency, Future Models, cleaned the flat and sent the russian models to the airport to fly home next morning. Italian police never investigated the death, classified as suicide, Future Models paid Funeral services to sent Hayley body in her home town in Canada. Her earnings from fashion jobs in London and Milan disappeared, her family never received money and answers about her death. Future Models closed doors shortly After. I totally agree that fashion industry is tough, but modelling is even worst, Milan "the New faces" city was labelled as a swimming pool full of sharks, if a young model survived Milan, she was ready for the industry. It's sad that After the BBC Mcintyre Undercover of 1999, nothing changed. Now the #metoo in Fashion changed something, but it's only for very well known predators like Gérald Marie and Jean Luc Brunel. For mâle models ,who accused Mario Testino and Bruce Weber, must be frustrating to see this two photographers back in the game.

If she's already unstable, having a breakdown and not proceeding with her plans is like a basic 1 no questions asked. The fact and the truth is this........these "young" girls from such an early age are told they are beautiful, beautiful and beautiful. They are NOT however told that they matter, they are important, they are an individual who is different from everyone else, that they are intelligent, smart, kind, compassionate etc. So, if all of their young lives they are told basically that it is what you look like that matters, then they will start to think that the only good thing that they are good for is beauty. Beauty fades, but kindness, compassion, intelligence etc. doesn't. The industry is destroying so many young girls, and yes some young boys that they do not care about them at all. It is greed that is the crowning glory of the industry. They make a lot of money for the slimy greedy ones and throw the girls away when they are still so young. How do you think you would feel, that by the age of 23, 24 etc., you are told you are no longer useful? You would feel empty, lost, hollow, worthless etc., and sadly a lot of these young people end up broke, homeless, on drugs, selling their bodies, needing psychiatrist's to try to salvage some of their worth and dignity. It is so so sad, that this world looks upon women as their only worth to the world is how young and beautiful they are. So superficial, so damaging to young minds. And yet, no one is doing anything about it because there is too much money to be made from USING these young people for their greedy disgusting slimy bank accounts. They are just as bad as pimps. And yes, so many of us say "it is what's inside you that matters", but that is a crock. The world looks only on the outside, even though people seem to think that it is getting better, the reality is that it is NOT. Younger and younger is what they want, and thrown into the trash at still a very young age. The world is disgusting and we all are part of it. The Kardashians are proof that all they think about is what they look like. They have plastic surgery, photo cropping, fake hair, make up etc., and the young girls want that. But they don't have the resources as these rich superficial plastic girls. So, the young girls starve themselves, take drugs, do whatever they can to look like them. Even girls at age 13 and 14, if not younger are becoming anorexic or bulimic. Does no one see this as a very big problem??? I guess not, because the money that comes in from these young girls and boys is to much to the pimps so to speak, that they don't care one iota about the person and their feelings etc. God help save the children from the barracuda's and the pirannah's out there waiting to suck them into their devious, cruel, dehumanizing dens of inequity.

I read somewhere that Ruslana's step-father had quite a bit of money. She is also from Kazakhstan that has one of the highest suicide rates in the world. I read she just finished watching "Ghost" with her boyfriend when she jumped. My theory is "Ghost" brought back a lot of sad memories of her deceased biological father who died when she was five years old and she wanted to be with him on the other side (like in the movie). Ruslana was not murdered or pushed. Tooo many witnesses on the street saw her jump in mid-day New York City. Yes Cults and foul play does exist but I find it a bit sad and telling on society that people are that unable to fathom that someone would unalive themselves because of mental health issues. Sadly, these things happen. If you have dealt with depression and those kinda of thoughts, you know how hard it is. I think we need to pay more mindfull awarness to our own mental health and leave potentially bad situations as a job that isnt working for us and also, very important, be mindful to our friends and help them and listen when they are in need of support. It would be a better world if we were kinder to each other to prevent these things from happening rather than jump to conclusions for the sake of drama. I dont mean the creator of this video btw; just the people who come up with such stories in the first place.

I would say the simplest answer is often the right one. I watched a few Russian videos with additional info and interviews from people that knew her. Ruslana was a young woman, unlucky in love, used by rich men, working in a cutthroat and toxic industry. She had no family nearby and no other people to look out for her. She was attending seminars that blamed her for her own misfortune and made her feel worthless. Ruslana had a mental health crisis and tragically ended her own life. I really don't think her death was suspicious. Her life in the lead up to her death is a perfect storm of indicators for this.

@L’esprit de l’escalier Her hair looking limp may also be as a result of years of having it styled for modelling. Hair naturally thins over time anyway, and years of having it dyed, curled, ironed etc would have made it less healthy.

I Think sue was just going & beautiful and on her own, used by the industry as well as men so she just had enough. Too bad her family got nothing and her money was stolen.

@@joyceanderson8648 the agency may have paid her rent. Who cares about greedy relatives. They sent her into that job knowing what it was. This is what Russians do to their kids out there all the time. Most models never make it to USA NYC from out there. The top paid do isn't it so they maybe got her the apartment. Russian models may expect an apartment like that in NYC. It may be their goal.

I'm sad now, I remember the perfume ad and I LOVED both the ad AND the perfume. To know that the beautiful model had passed away like this it breaks my heart 😭💔

Please DON'T call people lower class, this is offensive and outdated. It would be better to say, "working-class family" or "lower income". This is especially offensive and rude to the model's family.

I hate the modeling industry. I did some events and bookings but I stopped. I always felt like a piece of meat being told what to do. No one cares about your feelings or opinions.
