I remember the first time I ever got a really special barbie doll. It was, I think, Christmas of 2006, I was 5 years old and I got the Anneliese and Erica singing dolls from Barbie Princess and The Pauper. I also remember the first time I ever begged my mum to get me a DVD. We were in the DVD rental shop and I had seen The Barbie Diaries on the shelf, I was like 4 and I just remember BEGGING my mum to rent it. She didn't rent it but later went out and bought me the DVD. I remember watching it til the disc was scratched.

Juanita Walker I still own most DVDs. Though I had Nutcracker and Rapunzel in Vcds and they got scratches soon. A while back I was shopping for my little cousin and saw the Rapunzel dvd and went "thats it I'm buying this Idc what people say" and I bought it. When I watched it on the new dvd I cried so much. It brought so many memories :') ❤

You see the classic barbie was good, they had good songs, good characters and sometimes a good plot. They need to bring the Classic barbie back. I'm not saying the 'modern' barbie is bad, it's just the classic barbie is better. In my opinion.

I still remember the feeling when I watched this scene. Just like it was for her, it was like the magic came alive for me. I would dance around my house with a paintbrush, painting invisible swirls and pretended I drew beautiful dresses. I would run outside and squish blueberries and splattered my hands with blue and then used my brush to paint with the color. It was not as magical as I expected but it was still fun and exciting because I was doing the same thing Repunzal did. This song, this movie... holds so many fond memories

This is by far my favorite song from any Barbie movie. It... I don't know. Whenever I listen to it I see Rapunzel painting that shore and in the end taking a walk there. Whenever I listen to it I feel the freedom she must've felt there. For me, this song is the embodiment of freedom and the knowledge that everything will turn out fine. I get goosebumps over my whole body every time I hear it.

My parents had recorded it for my brother and me and told me I would love it. I didn't really believe them and I had never heard of barbie before (I must have been about 4 years old), but I was very exited. When I watched it I immediately fell in love with it. Rapunzel is my favorite Barbie movie of all time. Rapunzel inspired me to become an artist as a child and I continue to draw and paint today as an adult, and inspired me to grow out my hair. The classics, including Rapunzel had such great messages and morals to them. I watched this as a child and I loved it but my Nan and Grandad told me girls only watch this. When I finally moved away with my parents, I was allowed to watch these movies when I want. I hold these movies close to my heart, me and my sister would dance to them. I loved dancing with my older sister but we don’t see each other much. Barbie is always going to be something special to me (Even though my friends think it’s weird I buy old dolls from a second hand shop and spend money redoing them and making them look like a character from classical animated movies I like.)
