10/10 voice acting, not gonna lie I thougt it was the Mad Rat's and Heart's true voice. Also if I'm not wrong, there is a parasite that made Rats and Mices goes to Cat called Toxoplasma Gondii so it can continue its cicle of life.

mad rat dead is actually about toxoplasma! rat god’s “true form”, the pile of “eyes” is actually just a stylized pile of toxoplasma cells. shes one of my favorite characters ever, because even before i knew about this game i was super interested in that species specifically #justautismthings so when my boyfriend and i played the game i was on the EDGE OF MY SEAT wondering if it was intentionally foreshadowing toxoplasmosis or not. i was so hyped when the confirmation hit lol

This game does an interesting play on the Mad Hatter being 'Mad as a hatter", and also that conversation between Alice and The Chesire Cat when they talk about the cat being mad or not. Also Time is a anti-hero character.

At the boss battle, where you broke the game, I just realized that the Rat God could be, quite literally Toxoplasmosis Gondii. It's an infection that needs to reproduce in cats, and is spread in cat feces. In order to get back into another cat, it makes mice and rats lose their inhibition and fear of cats, which makes them more likely to eaten by a cat and continue the life cycle of Toxoplasmosis parasite. I cant believe the made a whole game out of it! It makes total sense now. And if Mad Rat got infected during the transplant, does that mean the heart tissue is from a cat? And that's why the heart could not see any of the hallucinations , cuz Toxo doesn't affect cats behavior?

Just saw the end, OMG, I'm not crying, You're crying!!! My orange cat just recently went to the Rainbow Bridge, I wish I could have been with him when he... I wish I could turn back time to spend more time with him before he died. I didn't realize this silly game was gonna be so wholesome and heart breaking, no pun intended. Thanks for the journey. No offense (on the contrary, in fact.), but... If there's ever a sequel or more DLC and Rapwned makes a video of it all, I don't think I'd watch it. After having watched this video four times now, I still find this game an absolute masterpiece that I think really should've been nominated for game of the year. So yeah, I ain't gonna play this specific game because I know everything about it already. Hence why I'd love to experience the sequel first before watching a video of it. Rapwned made me realize this game is so good and I'm sad there's no point in me playing if I know everything already.

Yeah but it would probably be more fun playing it yourself as well. I've watched people play games, and I've played those games. It's always more fun doing it yourself (and especially panicking at stuff you find hard, you can't get that adrenaline rush from someone else) even if you already know everything about it. I know that there are tonnes of secrets in Enter The Gungeon. I know who the final boss is, what they do, what secrets there are to uncover and how to get them. But the doing is yet to be done, and that's the part that's fun. You might have more trouble with a certain boss, or a certain level, and you'll get more enjoyment out of finally besting them when you do. You'll never get that if you never play the game, even if you know what that boss does and how to fight it. Take it from me. Play the game.

I wish I could like this game more. But the BPM changes mid-song make later stages more annoying and it feels way too trial and error-y even with the rewind time mechanic. If I didn't beat the final boss my first time through, I would've just given up then and there, honestly... Story's good, though, and so is the music. The final boss was spoiled to me because Camellia made the tutorial song, by the way.

Spoilers for the ending!!! . . . . . . So! My theory is that everyone got their wish. Everyone. Including Rat God, who kept saying "You'll reach your happy ending, getting eaten by a cat". I think, since Mad Rat DID get his happy ending, and Heart is an actual cat, and then they went TOGETHER as the credits rolled, and everyone up to that point had either gotten or relinquished their wish, except for Rat God, that Heart eats Mad Rat after the credits.

Except the Rat God shows up after the heart transplant meaning Heart hat the Rat God in them. (Real life cut away:. The end goal of the parasite is to live in a cat. After it infects a cat it is transmitted in it's poop when a rat eats it normally. When it infects a rat it makes it unafraid of the smell of cat urine (the cheese in the hallucinations) which has rats wander into the territory of a feline to then be eaten by a cat. While the Rat God's goals of being eaten by a cat don't occur in the ending, the fact Heart is infected by Rat God means it too gets it's wish of being in a cat.
