Every now and then, there comes an interview on this channel where you can do nothing else but give it your undivided attention. This was one such interview. What an articulate lady! Her clarity of thought is reflected in her drama as well. The conversation was engrossing also because of Hassan's well thought out questions. Raqeeb Se is hands down my favourite drama currently on air, followed by Dunk and this was an absolute treat to watch. Thank you Hassan for your enjoyable interviews. P.S. After the triangle of the elders in the family, It would be so interesting if Hamza, Insha and Ameera have a triangle of their own :-) Jokes aside, I hope Bee Gul and Kashif Nisar continue to team up in the future because of their sheer brilliance as a duo.

True, a writer’s ideology comes across in their writings even unintentionally. Although Raqeeb se is on love , with 2 women having feelings for one man, still that relationship would not weaken them and according to her all 4 women would come out stronger and empowered at the end. That is her progressive, contemporary approach. Another writer would destroy one or both women due to misogyny, in trying to hold on to a man, with the man coming out as the sole winner.

Talkhiyan was such a great drama,I did know that Beegul was the writer, I loved that drama it was telecasted in Zindagi chanel in india,the end was so dramatic and so sad 😞 very few dramas are made like that and its so sad that these kind of high quality dramas are not being appreciated 😢 and there are no buyers to telecast in the so called big Channels production houses. I dont know why the Mass audience dont like these kind of stories its a pitty..the last few episodes were so emotional that even now when I recall I feel very sad and emotional 😢 I request everyone to watch Talkhiyaan it will be so so much worth watching rather than those typical Saans Bahus conspiracies,Rona dhonas,love triangles etc

This is not the first interview i am watching of her. She is an amazing personality. She is very progressive and sane. 'Aurat aurat ki dushman hoti ha'. This is what women need to address first in order to get your rights or equality. There's lots of blaming on men and pointing a finger on men without realizing that more than patriarchy, it's matriarchy harming women. Normally people who calls themselves feminists are narrow and shallow minded too but here you have amazed me just because if the character of Rafique Ali. A character is a character with many shades of good and bad. You can't throw your political correctness. I absolutely loved her personality. This is what a progressive women does. I have watched penchan and at that time I didn’t know who bee gul was , even then that drama caught my attention . It was different, raised questions and full of grey characters. How I wish there were channels who would accept all her scripts . This is one writer who I wouldn’t miss a single drama from. Talkhiyan was dark but somehow engaging. Dar see jatee hy Sila was ground breaking but hats off to Kashif nisar for making it the way he did.

"Talkhiyan" is so under rated, I remember watching it and being in my teens I was in awe at the uniqueness of the project, the dark yet captivating theme, it made me immensely proud of Pakistani drama. Thankyou for it Bee Gul. The OST of talkhiyaan still takes me to another realm. Wish we could see more of your scripts and presence in our drama industry.

Delightful conversation, I was smiling all along.. still smiling while writing this comment. :)) Lovely person Bee Gul is to have stayed faithful to her writing style and to the kind of stories she believes in and wants to tell despite the challenges. And her ability to give the viewer a chance to ponder upon and invest in her characters and their complexities. Also for being so open and honest to the critique of the audience and their questions - this encourages a thinking audience when a thinking writer/creative professional gives their viewers content to chew on through the journeys of not-so-easily-forgettable characters.
