It is a 1998 model year as the "16v dohc turbo, and the eagle and Tsi awd are in silver. In 1997 they were teal/blue

Ok so I’ve been told this once before and it’s confusing because the title is 97 I’ll have to double check the build date on it. If it’s a 98 technically it would be one of 750 roughly made in that year?

I bought my 98 talon new I ordered it in August of 1997 as a 1998 model year it arrivedin November of 97. I also thought that the AWD turbo talons for 1998 were a really low number like less than 500 but am not 100% on that. Ps I still have my 98 has to be one of the lower mileage car it has 6062 original miles on it. I also have a 97 I bought used with about 100k on it.

I have a 1998 GSX that is sitting in my garage that makes over 450 HP . My son had a 98 Talon AWD that he totaled and me being a mechanic took a and saved a lot of the parts . i still have the rear LSD diff and his rear driveshaft . Can't wait to see more videos !

if it has a sunroof, it has an LSD. they were offered as a part of the same package! awesome find man, im in the process of building an AWD spyder talon. im excited to see what your car cam do once its done! hopefully ypu get it done before the shootout this year, it,d be real cool to see it there

Will do! Also that 20g might be the perfect turbo depending on what kind of car you’re wanting to built. My cousin has one in his car (although not a t3) and that plus a 264 cam makes it a bitchin street car and he hasn’t complained about the turbo lag at all. Obviously it’s your car so you build it to your own spec but I thought I’d throw that perspective out there

I got a 1997 2gb talon pretty much the same but in red and with cloth seats I’m rebuilding right now just got the strut towers fixed and engine bay sprayed soon to be dropping in a built engine with an fp red and tein flex z coil overs for it, my brother was the second owner and it sat and then sat some more pulled it out of a garage this last summer it had been sitting in for 9 years and sat for around 6 or seven years before that! should be back on the road very soon!! Im super excited! Hope to see more of your build!

I have a 98 talon tsi awd automatic with leather, lsd, sunroof, keyless entry, abs, and the rear quarter glass. I even have the original window sticker. It has 100k and original motor. Everything works.

@@RoughDiamondGarage I had one for 10 years. Maybe I’ll rebuild one like you. I have an ecu and most of a block still. I’ve been messing with a 2001 Porsche the last few years and a 2004 Grand Cherokee. A black eclipse GSX or a Gun metal grey talon are awesome cars. 2.0T before everyone had them. AWD too? Ahead of the curve. Good stuff.
