I have been following quite a few professional detailers on KZbin for years now. Everyone has different approach and they are best in their own ways, but this detail let alone was on whole another level. Amazing, I have never seen any detail in such 'detail'😉. This was my first video for this channel ever and you sure have one more subscriber now. Absolutely great hard-work.

Great job as usual! In a society where we simply toss cars a couple of years old away without any appreciation of what it took to create them, it is wonderful to see that with a little love and respect it can look as good as new. Yes things happen on the road, but the overwhelming amount of damage done to cars is from carelessness and lack of respect for those around us. According to international statistics 93% of accidents on the road are caused by people who have no respect or concern for others because they focused on stupid things instead of paying attention or being safe. They only focus on their needs, comfort and purpose for being on the road in the first place with no regard tthat others have a reason to be there and everyone deserves the right to arrive safe and sound. Only 7% of cars damaged or totaled are from natural disaster or the elements. These people who race about, prioritizing their deadlines and destinations ahead of others is a prime example as to not only why the world is the way it is, but also why the elite are getting away with what they are doing. The elite provide the accusations why they are doing what they are, however, sadly we provide the undeniable proof giving them the power to do it. The only One Who can save us now is Jesus, he always was the only way. There is an even darker winter coming this year and I pray people will get it through their heads to treat each other with kindness and respect and to pray in the face of having no hope. Jesus promised "With God, nothing is impossible".

There’s a couple things that stood out to me here. Instead of pressure washing with just water he sprayed product onto the paint without rinsing. Also after the iron remover was applied he foam cannoned right over it before washing it off. I didn’t know you could do that and learned something new.

Hi Sandro. First of all, such a pleasure to watch your videos and the way you explain things. Spending 40mins watching and listening to your videos is a well spent time. I do have few questions: 1. What is your advice on polishing glass to avoid situation where you start polishing glass with a glass? When we polish clear coat, we cut into it and remove a little. Similar with the glass, isn't it? Can it result in tiny particles of the glass being "used" to polish the glass itself or will this be absorbed by the compound and the pad? 2. What's your opinion on ceramic nano coating vs. health considerations? I've seen in one of interviews that Larry Kosilla (AMMO NYC) completely avoids using those as he says this might have a negative effect on one's health over the years. I don't have any arguments for or against as I don't have sufficient know-how, but I'd appreciate your thoughts. 3. Do you think it makes sense to treat interior piano black plastics with coating after polishing it to prevent or minimize future scratches? Thank you for any feedback!
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate I appreciate it and glad you enjoyed it. Although it may or may not be the best practice, I like to gather my info and conclusions based on my first hand experience. I’ve never had scratches appear on glass when using a paint compound to polish, I’ve only had that happen with CeriGlass type glass polishes which is why I tend to avoid them. I think almost every chemical is potentially harmful to some degree, but whether SiO2 is more or less than the APCs, degreaser’s, tar removers or even PTFE polymers and fluorine found in many waxes and sealants remains to be seen, we can only speculate. If I’m coating an interior I will also coat any piano black plastics, I think the advantage there is creating less friction that will hopefully reducing wiping or touching swirls, but due to their soft nature, only something like PPF will prove to be a better option in preventing swirls. Hope that helps.

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing Big thanks for your insights Sandro. Definitely food for thought with the chemicals and trends in the industry to go more "environmental and people friendly" vs their performance in keeping the cars clean. Interesting to see where this goes. All the best from Switzerland!

is a hard clear coat easier to correct than a soft clear coat?
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Hard paints are more difficult to remove defects but easily to finish well on, soft paints are easier to remove defects but more difficult to finish well on. Given the hardest or softest paint in the world, most detailers would probably choose the hard paint, but in general a medium hardness paint is the easiest to correct.

Hey Sandro just a quick question is there 1/2/3” polishers that are DA? I don’t use a rotary and am not well versed in using one yet so I was wondering if you can get 1-2” DA? I have the shine mate 3” but wondering if you can get smaller in a DA. Once again a fantastic video very informative and actually really helpful my mother owns a silver Mercedes’ that we are selling so this has helped me gauge what I’ll need to do :)
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Great to hear that, I’m sure a nice pre-sale detail will help increase its appeal and value. The Rupes iBrid as well as being a mini rotary is also a mini DA that can use 1”&2” pads with both 3mm and 12mm orbital throws - you just switch out the components depending on which movement you want. There are also other brands that make similar mini machines and if you have a beefy air compressor there’s also the Rupes TA50 2” which a bit of a best and very powerful.

so you're telling me that even a super fine polish wouldn't add more gloss to that hard paint? or am i getting this wrong
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 4 ай бұрын
In many cases there’s no benefit or difference and sometimes even a degraded finish when using super fine polished harder paints - thats a big difference between hard and soft paints, they respond differently. It’s also the reason we have so many different compounds and pads, because paint types also differ drastically.

your decision to go with a coating vs. just a sealant is one of the aspects i'm struggling with, before I get heavily into doing this kind of work for people, for pay. putting in all the time and effort to make the car look as good as it respectfully can, then not going the last mile to preserve that work, just doesn't sit well with me. I understand a client has a budget, but for me I think I'll be taking more of the approach of, if they aren't interested in the details, then I'm not the detailer for them. I know it'll limit the pool of potential clients, but at the end of the day I can be enormously proud of my work, and not feel like I've been cheated, or that the client will feel cheated in the not too distant future when it doesn't look as good as it did when it left.

I’ve had clients that specifically don’t want coatings and although I certainly don’t undertake every job that comes my way I also understand that I’m in customer service and it’s not my job to dictate what a client wants or should pay for. It’s great to have standards and goals in the work you wish to pursue but don’t forget that you’re providing a service and not selling artwork. It’s their car and their money and you also have to be respectful towards that, and don’t make the mistake of making them feel like what the want or can afford is beneath you. High end work and coatings have been my bread and butter for a number of years now but I actually also enjoy doing lower end work that more people can afford, meets their needs and makes them happy, and there’s nothing wrong with that, it’s actually still very rewarding.

I def need to try NV products, they seem to work great. I’m a Carpro and Gyeon guy but if you and Rick from Rad Garage use it then so am I.

One of the most motivating videos I've seen for a while. There is a real joy to watching video content where the creator has a lot of integrity. It is hard to come across well but this is something you do effortlessly. Im always motivated by your uploads but this one especially and particularly when you have gone out of your way to go the extra mile for a nice client. THAT is what it is all about in my eyes. Supporting good people. I would always rather make less money and do right by people. I have a channel and put some videos up myself and my latest video featured my old Z3 that came back to me for some refurbishment work. I'm not at your level but I hope I ended up doing a great job despite some issues I had along the way. Again the owner is such a lovely guy and that makes those types of job an absolute pleasure. Thanks again for taking the time to create this.

What a great video about fantastic car! I am in jealousy to the owner and I see how much love he gave to this beauty to make it run properly. Rims coating confirms that) I have noticed you have a new drying towel or at least I didn’t see this colour before) Very useful trick about Essence + on moldings - didn’t know about that - thanks! And as always - great to hear owner’s reaction! After we have seen he protected rims we know he understand the result more than majority. Enjoyable movie Sandro and fantastic job behind the scenes as well, thanks and cheers from Sweden!

Hey Sandro - what a beautiful finish, couldn't have worked out better over the "paint incident" What a decent client. Sidenote: Wondered if I might ask a question. I've been saving for the shinemate (12mm throw you recommended in your vid of the three available, which seemed to fit me perfectly) and also watched your review of the cordless range when they came out. I have the wired shinemate 3" with the 2 and 1 adators. I use that as my go to for everything and I love it! Any thoughts would be massively appreciated. I'm thinking 5" wired just for no reliance on battery cycling of multiple batteries and a charger etc. but wondering if you have noted anything else which leans the wireless over wired, now you have many more hours on it? All the best as always!
@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
No not really, it’s pretty much the wireless convenience that’s lead me to use them more, so in you’re case I think the wired version is going to meet your needs needs just great.

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing as always can't thank you enough! I did mention months ago I was working on some videos to show you what I've achieved using your vids (especially the repairing stone chips). They are in progress and next on the project list. I also havbe the same amount for my hyundai and my ep3 so lots of editing to do but learnign that makes me afppreciate yours from that aspect. Class. From knowing nothing when I found you to getting the results I am now and a hobby that i've been engulfed by. The analysis, the process refinement, the visual working and amending as I go. Learnign good practice ahs been invaluable and saved me many more mistakes than I've made. Wil def forward oen of the vids to you on completion so you can tangibly see you are helping people on the other side of the world!

In all seriousness, all you have to do is start. If you start practicing with a junkyard panel and cheap products…it matters not. Just start. The time passes whether you will or won’t. I guarantee you that a year from now, if you practice however you can, you’ll be richer than today. Take care.
