Thank you so much. I am so glad that you enjoyed watching the video. Yes, this is a very versatile and useful horn since it can play in four different keys and it’s still sounds quite well in each key. It was made in 1930 and is made very well. I posted a video about 8 before this one where I am playing a double quick change cornet that can also played in four keys. You might want to check that out too. These horns were rather popular around the beginning of the 1900s because most brass players could not transpose or play in more complicated keys. So this made it very easy for them. But Americans cannot take credit for this horn because it was made in Paris, France. Thank you for your interest and thanks for watching.

Cool horn. How's the intonation?
@brassfromthepast51495 ай бұрын
Yes, it is really a cool horn. Intonation is relatively good in all keys. I do have to pull out the third valve slide in the first three keys and push it in for the last key. But overall not bad. Thanks so much for watching.

What the? The trumpet professor at ASU demonstrated a very similar trumpet in one of his videos. I thought he invented that trumpet design, but maybe he invented it seperately or already knew of this design. Regardless, I thought it was really cool.

This design has been around for quite a while. Maybe it was a modification of the design. Glad you enjoyed watching the video.

Literally a quadruple trumpet. Isnit built around a C trumpet?
@brassfromthepast51495 ай бұрын
Yes, I guess you could say it could be a quadruple trumpet. It is built around a C trumpet. The second valve slide comes straight out which is how most C trumpets are made. Thanks so much for watching.
