Sweet old Italian pistol Pie!! The Beretta Model 948 is apparently a .22 Long Rifle version of the Model 1934, which was Italy’s service pistol during WWII.

Nice video of a very seldom seen old Beretta's FIRST 22lr pistol model 948. About 7-8 maybe more years ago I had 2 of them a 3.5" and a 6" one. The 3.5" barrel one was in VG condition especially since it was dated 1950 and was RARE because it was EARLY PRODUCTION (1948) was the first year, the first 2 years (1948-1949) were PROTOTYPE YEARS, 1950 was first years production. The front sight was mounted on the frame and NOT the barrel as the later ones which could switch barrels (3.5"-6") easily and quickly without tools. I later got a 1957 6" model which I believe was the last year or next to the last year production, the Jaguar was the next model followed by the 70 series ( 70s, 71, 72, 74, 75, 76). At one time I had the 70s, 71, 74 and 76W. They are GREAT PISTOLS that FUNCTION more reliably than any other 22lr pistol PERIOD, thanks to the open slide design like the Beretta 92FS. I also have the Beretta 87bb 22lr DOUBLE ACTION pistol which is the HOLY GRAIL of double action 22lrs. 😮😊

I have the same gun. I inherited it from my dad who got it from his parents. My grandmother used it to shoot a guy who was trying to rob their restaurant in 1967. It’s in my safe. I’ve never fired it.

I have a Beretta 71S and it shoots high, and has the clunky thumbrest import grips. It's unique and reliable though, so here it stays. That the Mossad used the fixed sight version to eliminate terrorists doesn't hurt either.

I had a 22 Beretta 948 model number I took it apart to clean it when I put it back together something I did wrong and it don't go back together or if I can get it back together can't pull the trigger
