This my coin to the left i found in 1993 with a metal detector. It's a north east type gold stater over 2000 years old and i found out soon after that only 1 other existed in the uk of this type and design and it had a hole in it and was in the british museum. Now there is about 7 or so in the uk so still pretty rare.

Ive emptied a jar of coins and found 13 2p coins dated 1971 with new pence on the reverse and 3 dated 1981 are they worth anything.

For people who don't know, 1971-1982 Penny's,1/2p,2p,5p,10p,50p had new pence inscribed on them because they were a new currency system which changed from shillings, sixpence,threepence and crowns to our current currency. The only new pence coins that may be valuable are the 1983 2p new pence and coins that could only be found in proof sets of coins. The reason why the 1983 2p new pence is because you could only find them in rare proof sets and the fact that they are error coins because they stop inscribing new pence on all currency after 1982. Still these coins which are very rare to come by in circulation only fetch 300-500 if you are lucky.

1971 to 1981, not 1982 with NEW pence. The 1982's (the 2p, 5p, and 10p of 1982, 1983, and 1984 are rare anyway) have ONE for the 1p, TWO for the 2p etc. I repeat, the word NEW was used 1971 to 1981.

Of course its utter nonsense, this video like many many others uses headline grabbing values that really dont exist in the real world, the ONLY reason the silver coloured 2p got a high price was because it was donated to a charity and it was bought by a large donation to them, all of the other valuations are just figures taken from newspapers and websites to get clicks...in the real world if you try selling these coins you will get far smaller amounts.
