Our collective agrarian history is precious and needs to be remembered and celebrated. Appleton was the “city” to my Dad’s family farm in Wisconsin. He was born on that farm in 1912 and so lived when these were state of the art farm equipment.

Thanks for watching and for the insightful comment. We are considering a short documentary on historic logging in Northern Wisconsin. Anything else on agricultural history you'd like us to consider making?

@@visualimagingsolutions yup there is. Pops was also in the CCC doing fire trails and logging in the area. Perhaps a look at the amazing work these men did.

There was an article about this gentleman in a recent Farm Collector magazine. A very good article and this video was also quite good, a nice supplement to the magazine article. Certainly a very nice collection!

I stumbled upon your video and was simply amazed by your story and the work you've done preserving this part of history. A truly amazing collection and I can't even imagine the amount of work it took. I guess for you it's to late to simple collect stamps. Well done both in your collecting and this video.

Glad you spent some time visiting Appleton. There's still great fishing in the area. Lake Winnebago is one of the best walleye lakes in the world.

Thanks for documenting and preserving this, VIS. Do you happen to know if Dale only restores implements manufactured in Appleton or does he include Batavia?
@visualimagingsolutions12 күн бұрын
You're welcome! Yes, he also restores the implements made by the company after it moved to Batavia as well. He has many of those in his collection too.

That's a great point. I've seen tons of great talent exit through retirements, etc., over the last several years. Most of that knowledge is disappearing. It's a bad situation. Thanks for watching!
