It's been 10years in this hooby never kept a asian arowana was probably interested in discuss stingrays and flowerhorn but now I buyed a high back chilli red arownana and IAM damn happy with that it's whole new experience for me hope all goes well with my dax(arowana) in future .

Just a suggestion & something to keep in mind. If & when you do your Tanganyikan shell dwellers? Stock some Cyprichromis species to fill the upper layers of the aquarium. They're a fairly peaceful & colorful sardine cichlid from Tanganyika and make good companions for shellies. Cyprichromis come in a variety of color morphs to choose from. If you can find them? How long did it take to grow Tom to the size he is?? Asking this because I have red ear sliders too. And how do I get rid of flukes and the disease which causes fish’s stomach to bend inward. Hope your cough recovers.

Hey Zenon! Tom is about a year and a half old now. She is on the upper e d of growth rate because 1. She is female and 2. I fed her too much when she was young and becaus i feed the fish daily, she gets plenty food.

Flukes are hard to diagnose properly. If it is the case it will take a looooong treatment of praziquentel. Maybe 3 to 4 weeks. Sunken stomach is a likely sign of internal parasites. You can try API general cure for that. If it is serious/stubborn you'll need to soak the food in medication for higher treatment success. Hope this helps man.

@@SGBeardedAquarist , there are some sub branches to 9.9 farm, they are close to them and have 2 ND quality of 9.9 flowerhorns and it's little expensive, but it also worth to visit. You can ask them for their branches bro , to visit. And also that 9.9 farm called as maopladang 9.9 farm

I just got them from a friend's tank recently. I noticed there to be bigger leaf ones and smaller ones when it started to propagate, I assumed the small ones were just small because they are new. Then i got a little suspicious after while so thanks for pointing it out! Which one is the salvinia minima?

@@SGBeardedAquarist From what i can tell, the smaller leafed ones that form sort of a chain are Salvinia minima. Whereas the other plant that branches out looks to be Pistia stratioes also known as dwarf water lettuce. Thought i could be wrong 😅

Ive seen them scrape the fish but it doesnt seem to leave any mark nor do the fish even swim away like it affected them. I've always wondered too but it seems to work out just fine. What fish and what turtle did you keep together?
