Rare behaviour - baboon snatches a baby impala (Serengeti)

Baby impala snatched from its mother and eaten alive by a baboon. Viewer discretion advised.
At times wildlife really lives up to its name. This baboon seized his opportunity and snatched the baby impala from its mother. Death is always hard to witness, especially when - unlike the big cats for example - the predator doesn't kill its prey before feeding.
Filmed in the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania.
Filmed with Canon 70D and 100-400mm IS II.

People in South Africa say when you see a baboon in action up close and personal, you can't help but to hate them. That's why the local landowners there have no problem letting people hunt them on their property. They also propogate like crazy, so there are too many for the ecosystem to handle. I love watching bowhunters kill them on KZbin. Wish there were more of those videos
