I think the "second" reason is far more valid than its being taken as. If the aft can "win" against another company it sets a president in court and judges look at president as a valid cause to side the same way. All these companies need to stand with RB and help win. I also believe these need to be flooded in the market to make them "common use". Stand together again the tyrannical government.
@michaelhatfield34302 жыл бұрын
I agree about AFT oops I mean ATF about going after a smaller company and creating a precedent that can hurt Rare Breeds lawsuit. Flooding the market to create common use but honestly that doesnt seem to matter these days because the ATF and Government (Federal,State & Local) still goes after AR15's, AK's and other semi auto firearms in attempts to ban them and in many cases have banned them locally even though they are common use with tens of millions in civilian hands. Look what they did with bumpstocks and now pistol braces and 80% receivers and home built firearms. I'm so tired of the ATF giving confirmation that a product or firearm is legal based on written law and then after millions are sold changing their minds due to political pressure even though the law hasnt changed or been amended. ATF just decides to changes the meaning of the written words which if allowed to stand will cost us all our 2A recognized God given/Human rights. It wont stop at 2A and they are chipping away at the 1A too. Creating hate speech laws to use against people that say things they dont like. We are in the upside down world of the clown
@phildo872 жыл бұрын
I agree on the second argument. Overturning president is a way harder thing than winning the initial case. We have so many random situations in law that make no sense because of some president set back in the 1800's even.

I got a ration of $hit on another video saying that reason #1 was the reason they told you to cease. They must pursue all perceived violations or they lose the ability to to pursue any violations. What really needs to happen from a technical standpoint is getting a steady rate of fire of about 600rpm, and having a frame that supports that indefinitely under normal working conditions. There needs to be more work in active recoil counter balancing, using either a counter weight system, hydraulics, gearing, dampning, etc.

The patent at issue (U.S. Pat. No. 10,514,223 B1, inventor: Jeffrey Cooper Rounds) and its provisional patent application disclose Hoffman Tactical’s first forced reset trigger. HOWEVER, the patent at issue does NOT have any claim that reads on Hoffman Tactical’s first forced reset trigger. There are clear distinctions between the two in the detailed description of the patent at issue and its provisional patent application, but there is no claim that reads on Hoffman Tactical’s first forced reset trigger. I really doubt that Rare Breed Triggers (the current assignee of the patent at issue) would get a claim construction that reads on Hoffman Tactical’s first forced reset trigger. I really don’t know why the patent attorney (Glenn D. Bellamy) who wrote the patent at issue and its provisional patent application did NOT write a single claim to cover Hoffman Tactical’s first forced reset trigger, but he simply did not. Further, since there would not be any infringement of the patent at issue, there can be no induced infringement. Giles Rich, the former Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, once famously stated, “To coin a phrase, the name of the game is the claim.” But don’t take any opinion in this comment from this raving lunatic, get a patent lawyer and have him or her tell you the same thing ;) I am not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice. Drop the gcode for the trigger. Also where do you find your codes for your builds. Appreciate it.

You rock!

Just create a patent license agreement for a nominal about of money. That would actually strengthen the RBT position.

Your new lower gonna come in a pcc version? In particular .45acp

Thanks for the update. Also what lathe do you have there?

While I begrudgingly believe their reasons are probably valid, and in the fight between RBT vs AFT I'm definitely in RBT's corner, I do NOT believe it was incumbent on _you_ to be transparent about this. That is not at all to say I don't appreciate you clarifying this and all else you do to send the signal. Lawrence should have gotten in front of this asap. ... but oh well.

Where do I go to get your designs? I would love to download them and play around with some designs. I don't have a 3d printer but enjoy CAD.

sounds like any FRT you send out will get a C&D from RB so they can continue the court case....

Not if it does not fall under their patent claims. The 223' patent is quite specific. Nothing they can do about other technologies that achieve the same thing.

Are these frt triggers still legal to own legally tho? Can we still take these out to public ranges without worry or not? If not, all of this is for a moot point
@HoffmanTactical2 жыл бұрын
I would not hesitate to use one of these the same as any other legal weapon. They want to ban them, but so far have not done so. Of course, I'm not an attorney, this is not legal advise.

Honestly man RareBreed might of saved you a lot of time and money cause hosting the files for a FRT trigger at this point could have the ATF bothering you for no reason besides they can. And I’d suggest if you have designs for a new FRT I’d release it under a pen name hehe and then sample it on your KZbin channel. Idk it’s just crazy world and the ATF doesn’t have to win a case or have a legitimate reason to bother you. Take care brother God Bless

Anybody know of a site where I can find Hoffman’s FRT conversion files? He says it’s easy enough to find but I couldn’t find them, granted I don’t know the best sites to go to apparently so if anyone can simply point me in a somewhat right direction I’d appreciate it.
