FYI: The play by play of the operation was wrong. The TAB at the rear is designed to unlock the trigger when the bolt is fully seated preventing hammer follow. The bolt moving reward moving the hammer back, forces the trigger to reset.

@@Mryodamiles Negative, Tac-con was a 3 position trigger with the final position having a very small reset to allow for increased potential fire rate. However it was not a "forced reset" and I believe it did not require any specific bcg or buffer. However it was very gimmicky in functionality and came in with an msrp of ~495$ if memory serves me right.

@@derekbutts1782 mine didnt work initially. The hammer is what pushes the trigger forward to reset, mine wasn’t quite resetting and I tried two different carriers. Ended up putting a spot weld on my carrier for an extra couple thousandths to reset the trigger. Modified the carrier because I wasn’t about to fuck with a $400 trigger pack. Works appropriately in dry fire testing. Praying for no bolt bounce!

I wouldn't have bought one unless it was legal. I didn't buy one for the same reason as you guys did though it seams, infact I didn't even realise it could bump fire like that. Interesting but who would waste ammo like that? I needed the reset because I tore a tendon in my finger and releasing the trigger was painful. The problem for me was it took so long to get it my finger was much better by the time it got here so I never put it in. I got good with a different finger though.

*Bump fire* is rapid displacement of the trigger facilitated by recoil, the device in question is trigger displacement _necessitated_ with the reciprocating motion of the bolt carrier. The ATF considers *automatic reset* as enabling of automatic fire, so a _cease and desist_ is to be expected

It should have another position that eliminates the reset feature for precise shots. Only one position forcing you to go fast makes your weapon worthless for anything past 100 yards. Hopefully they have plans for something like that. Also doesn't make sense how you can't use this in ar10s and ar9s, serious design flaw.

@Jones both the fostech echo 2 and franklin armory triggers now work with ar10s ar9s mpx, etc. This should do the same. It would probably work on an ar10 seeing as they have an m16 style cut in them.

There will be a 9mm version with a 9mm specific hammer, that’s the only difference. If we made the original design work with 9mm it wouldn’t have worked in many 5.56 guns and we didn’t want that. Our priority was making it work in the 5.56 platform. We also made it work with 9mm but like I said that is going to be a different product. For .308’s it would require a different paddle design which we already engineered and patented for .308 AR’s. We would use the same concept. Again it would be a new product but there hasn’t been talk of a .308 version.

@@bkarma83 no 308 really makes me sad. The ar10 size platform is the way of the future. Look at the military NGSW program. Odds are they will pick the sig bid which is for all practical purposes an ar10 which means the civilian market will follow and the ar10 will unseat the ar15 in popularity. Just saying from a sales perspective you'd better plan to develop one after the 9mm one is completed.

See you can’t even make a normal .308 full auto with an M16 sear, it’s to short height wise, you make it taller now the .308 carrier smashes into it. That’s bc the .308 carrier is bigger in the front than the rear, it’s not the same diameter like an AR15.
