I don't believe it! The first 3300 in the city of angels! I really hope Schindler will install more 3300s or 5500s. The Schindler "hundreds" are night and day compared to new 330A installations.

Definitely! It's right behind Vroman's. I didn't check this place out because I assumed it would be locked, but they keep it open. I still wouldn't have visited, but I got a tip from a Schindler tech.

I hate California elevators. Mostly because of the strict laws that make no sense at all. Like the call buttons have to have certain asthetics.

I've been on a couple 3300s and this one looks really cool! I really like the call buttons and exterior arrows! I don't know if this is true but from what National Elevator told me once call buttons in California have to be white. Schindler is my favourite and in my opinion the best company. I hope we can find 5500s soon

I definitely hope that Schindler starts installing their newer elevators here... even if they have to use the older style fixtures. Also, that's interesting... now that I've thought of it, I haven't seen a call button here that isn't white!

+Elevation Station Productions maybe they can be grey as well, bc otis buttons and vr buttons are grey. Maybe the CA 3300 call buttons are white is so that the whole button can light up. The little jewel light on the regular 3300s is hard to see, so maybe that's why California made Schindler modify it. As for the lanterns, my guess would be that the arrows have to be a tactile object, not a 2D picture on a display, but that's probably not it bc California allows inch line style lanterns. Maybe it's because the red arrows could be tough to see against the white background, but that conflicts with the fact that they allowed the DPI to remain the same even though it has the same red numbers on a white background. Those are just my theories, so they are probably wrong, but I just wanted to throw them out there. (Also sorry about the wall of text, I was kinda spewing out all of my thoughts there lol)

It looks like they have up/down arrows on every floor including the lowest and highest. Is that part for CA's requirements?

liftstation nope. I think the normal 3300 lanterns can actually light for both up and down on all the floors too, but you can’t see the arrows like on these. I think they just made the same lantern for every floor out of laziness or to match the modular style.

There’s at least two more in this complex, but I believe this is the only 3300. There’s now more 3300s in CA.

It is... kind of. There is a room for the controller and stuff but the motor is still in the shaft.

@@ElevationStationProductions Actually, MRLs are also a hazard of fires. The machine room only has the controllers, which you normally see it mounted on the shaft walls and door frame. So yeah.
