So much fun back then: Waterskiing, surfboards got shorter, lighter and twin-fins. Motocross was becoming popular and everyone rode mini bikes and dirt bikes. Skateboarding was growing fast with the evolution of urethane wheels (the smell was intoxicating), then wider, lighter boards and empty pools, then parks and ramps. Great time to be a kid in So Cal.

My hope and wish is for the good people of California to clean her up. California has been used and abused, enough is enough already, our government is sitting on it's hands idle. My question is how many of the homeless people are the mentally ill that need medical treatment? Since when do we stop caring for our people and cast them aside into the street and how and why is this occuring? Is California to become third world? At this rate it would appear that way. There has to be a solution for this maddnes, how can we eradicate drugs in this country once and for all? Needless on the streets in San Francisco!? It's a zombie horror show for real.

SKateboard magazine had ads for plastic hooks you could mount on top of the board, that you could fit your feet under and lift the board up. We were too cheap, and wrapped a bicycle inner tube around the middle of the board and used that to jump stuff.

This used to air early Sunday mornings in my neck of the woods. I can still taste the crunch Berrys. After, I'd run out side find a creek or construction sight and create adventures with my Major Matt Mason. Then I would fine tune my Schwinn (grease the crank and chain and tighten the bolts so the banana seat wouldn't rattle) and skate the rest of the day away. That was until I layed my eyes on the first arcade game. But lol, you had to still get out side to do that way back then.
