@Coin Patrol , Great finds. the coins were in good shape compared to other batches of pennies. God luck filling in the rest of pennies board. Take care.

The German token is from the Karl Lingner Werke in Dresden, a maker of over the counter medicines in Dresden. It was probably made around 1932. The company is now part of Glaxo Smith Kline. It is for 20 points towards some sort of discount or rewards program.

Great hunt that 1947 sure was a stunning coin. In the last handful i believe that to be some kind of a German token.

i had a look through my queen Elizabeth 2nd 1D coins over the weekend and out of the 74 coins 47 were the dreaded 1967.

I've no idea why they minted so many 67s. I'm glad these batches don't include any.

It is amazing to think there were still almost 100 year old penny’s in circulation when they stopped making penny’s in the 1960’s. Great video. Keep them coming.

Another great 1d hunt Paul. It's strange how the 1947 1d appears sometimes in mint condition. I wonder if anyone has an idea why just this date?

Yet another enjoyable and informative video! The translation of the German token is (obv) Karl A Lingner - Public Health Champion (rev) Twenty goods points for purchasing our products or twelve cash points from the factory - see the prospectus Lingner Works Dresden. Think you ought to check the 1948 slot in your Whitman - there appears to be an imposter lurking there!
