Vielen Dank, Martin! 👍 Die J-22 war seinerzeit ein sehr modernes und leistungsfähiges Flugzeug, vergleichbar mit der SEPECAT Jaguar. Und irgendwie erinnert mich die Nase/Bugsektion der Orao so 'n kleines bisschen an die der Me 262. Schöne Grüße nach Bayern, Olli 😊👋

In 1999 Orao has some missions, they fly very low and radar's didn't spot them... Old but great interceptor.

In Romania this is called IAR-93[Industria Aeronautica Romana(Romanian Aeronautic industry)].This jet was a cooperation between Yugoslavia and Romania.Yugoslavians had access to the Rolls Royce engines when we did not.It looks kind of similar to a SEPECAT Jaguar.

OK, but you make it sound as it was a Romanian plane with Yugoslavs just getting the engines.... not like ythat fr sure, Serbia had a lonnnng tradition of building aircraft, same or even beter then Romania

@@FilK79 both od you are WRONG!!!!! The project starts togeather Romania ang Yugoslavia but Romania left the project and the project continue in SOKO Mostar!!!? Mostar and SOKO nothing to do with Serbia!!!! That was ex YU factory and Mostar is im the Bosna and Hercegovina that time one of Republic of ex YU!!!! The project was to expencive and that was a reason Romania left! The plane was not bad and im construction was some things from West and from East block! The engines where the problem due to poor power (1800 kg/square cm each!!!! The Canon was from USSR GESH 23 mm, and some other mixture. The idea was one engine but much stronger but RR (British) refuse to deliver stronger engine due to ex YU was out of NATO block!!! The plane was in two verson one and two seater... Anyhow I knew that plane couse was WORKING ON IT!😏👍
