Yesterday I picked up another box of pennies at a bank in home city of Chicago and I've went through 35 rolls and found 54 wheat cents which is the best one yet. 15 rolls to go and I only found 3 Canadian pennies. In the Midwest Canadians are scarce. The earliest I found today is a 1913 no mint mark. A lot of copper and some nice red ones. Illinois is in the middle of wheat cents.

Finding that 2009 extra-finger was sweet - but dang! A 1971-P FS-101 DDO was a really sweet find! I would get it graded - but that's me. 🙂 And that was a bunch of Canadians! Another great video!

Rob that 1953 Canadian penny has 4 different varieties and its also a first year issue Queen Elizibeth so check for shoulder fold or no shoulder fold small date or large date

@@jasonsellon4270 it’s a “$50 bag” with an extra $20+” added to it…lol…so I guess you could say that it’s a $70.00 bag + and it’s 1am and I’ve not even gotten 1/2 way through it yet and so far it’s not been too bad….obviously most of them have been 40’s and 50’s…but I’ve also found as low as a 1910…so “Ya can’t get mad at that!” 😉

And…I forgot to answer your other question (it was late and I was sleepy lol) I paid $230.00 for the bag…but he had already ran $50.00 worth in the bag and there was at least $20.00 more left in the bucket 🪣 and probably more than that. He said that whatever I decided to bring back to him…that he’d buy them back at 4 cents each…

@@frankandbeans6969 gotcha, I bought some $15 face value bags a few years ago from a dealer, found Tons of 1909 planes that I sold for about three dollars each, sadly like I said, no luck like that this time. I ended up selling off all of my wheat pennies, though, probably about 70 bucks worth 10 years ago, so I’ll probably just hold onto everything I have now, close to $100 face.

That 1971 DDO looks slightly off-center but it's probably not a true off-center strike ICYW, NGC has graded 9 BN, 17 RB, and 21 RD, for a total of 47.

The rim on the1971 DDO is thicker on the bottom than on the top. Maybe it was slightly off center on the second strike.

Many of the 1971 and 1972 Pennies were struck this way so it is actually very common on them.

Nice ddo, I’m lucky to have found an 84 doubled ear in around MS62RB imo. That and an extra leaf WI quarter are my 2 good variety finds from the years.

Very nice! Those Wisconsin extra leaf quarters are tough to find. They were bounty hunted back in 2005 when everyone was trying to find them!

I can’t believe that you didn’t get anything before 1941 out of four boxes. Last Friday I got 215 wheats out of $10 in pennies. 211 of them were in just five rolls. Four rolls were mostly all 1950‘s one roll was mostly all 1940’s. Sorted ones but 3 old ones too (29,30,&35). I got 3 2023 VDB-V cents so far. How much are they worth?

Just found my old penny books from high school (11 years ago) Indian Heads: I have almost all of them from 1880-1908; except 1884,85,1908 s, 1909 s. Wheat Cents (1909-40) I'm missing: 1909 s, s vdb, 1910 s, 1911 d, 1912d, 1912s, 1913d, 1913s, 1914 d, 1915 p, 1915 s, 1916 d, 1916 s, 1917 d, 1917 s 1921 s 1922 d 1923 s 1924 d 1926 s 1927 d 1928 d, 1928 s 1929 d 1931 d, 1931 s 1932 d 1933 d 1938 d 1939 d Wheat Cents 1941-58; Lincoln Memorial 1959-74 (100% completed).
