Rare Earth Elements - Recovery from Coal Wastes | ICSC Webinars

The webinar will consider the strategic importance and growing global demand for rare earth elements (REEs), vital for many high-tech applications, and a crucial part of the green energy transition. Most REEs are currently extracted from ores, although numerous techniques have been suggested for their recovery from coals and coal-related materials - these efforts are continuing.
The webinar and the upcoming ICSC report reviews some of the more promising novel techniques being developed and considers the potential of coal-based materials as alternative sources of REEs.
